Went there today for lunch as I was in a rush and couldn't browse around. The menu is very limited and very expensive, I had basically a jacket potato with some vegetables and a coke and in my opinion paying €20 for such a simple meal is too much. Can't say the food was amazing, true is I just had... More

I came across Bavarian by accident having got off the bus at the zoo stop and deciding to wander into the Europa Centre. You have to go down quite steep steps to the restaurant which is styled like a lodge. I had 359 Schnitzelteller „Jäger Art“ zwei gebratene Schweineschnitzel natur, mit Waldpilzen a la creme, dazu unsere hausgemachten Spätzle -„Hunters-style“... More

The place is reasonably cozry, and the food is neither bad nor extraordinary. Good, quick and polite service. The Schweinhaxen which we ordered is a lite version of Eisbein, reasonably good taste and much less fat than the cooked version. Other items in the menu might be better, but we were not overall impressed. Probably worth visiting if you are... More

I had been past this restaurant many times without noticing it was there, so was surprised at how big it was. We struggled to get a table at first, as some staff said the restaurant was full, even though there seemed to be plenty of empty table. However, one waiter found room for us. The food was typical German, large... More

Accidentally found this bar/restaurant in the Europa-Centre, Berlin some months ago. Always like going back. Great bier (Paulaner) and service. Team are very friendly & welcoming. One of my favourite places to relax in a busy city.

We wandered in here on our first night in Germany and were made to feel very welcome, the waiter was friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful and the meals are really big! I had the roast pork and it was excellent. The place was a little on the expensive side but the quality was great and I'd happily come... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
