A really good selection of wine and a short but excellent menu. The pasta and risotto were exquisite.

Staff arrogance is quite shocking if shortly. If you don't want to be yelled at because of little thing like a cup of coffee from the nearby place and get ripped off, don't visit this place. Just had a very unfortunate experience in the restaurant. Me and my husband live 2 min walking from this place, i was there first... More

Muret is loved by locals & Italians. Little Italy in dynamic Mitte in Berlin. Without reservations very difficult to get a table. Only when you are a regular you'll manage they serve you, with a little waiting. Fast paced place, good for romantic dinners and loud big table evening with friends. Always full! Our nr1 in Berlin.

We booked a table here and arrived a little early which was fine, we didn't expect our table to be ready however we thought we could have a drink at the bar while we waited. The lady who checked our reservation told us we were too early and told us we would have to come back...which wasn't the best first... More

The wine in Muret la Barba is never boring. Whichever you pick, whichever price range, it is always excellent value for money. The food is regional Italian cooking, fresh and tasty.

We booked a table there for our first dinner in Berlin and were delighted! The service is really good, we eat italian food quite regularly and found that the food here was a whole different level! From the explanation regarding the wine, the well prepared food, tasty ingredients, and the lovely atmosphere, we really recommend it!

A group of nine of us visited ths wine bar. Great friendly atmosphere, really small kitchen area so very impressed with the speed they deliver the food and all together for a medium sized party. I had the pasta with baby octupus, mussels squid and cherry tomatoes - I would recommend as it was delicious and the flavour was amazing.... More

My wife and I stopped in by chance and had a wonderful experience. A lovely selection of wine - all available by the glass - and a nice sophisticated Italian menu. Will definitely return.

For lunch, nice to place eat Italian food. Maybe because of lunch, not too deep menu, but pastas are great like real Italian. Staff are friendly. Wine list is quite okey, understandable, and a lot of glass options.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
