I'd visited this restaurant once before and came away thinking it was theee-star food at four-star prices. So I was pleasantly surprised when I visited last night with a group of friends. The inside ambience is very interesting and worth going just to experience. I had a gnocchi dish off of the daily special card and it was quite good.... More

We came in here for a late lunch. We had heard that the pizzas were quite big so we shared one, which was enough food. The toppings were good but the pizza was almost cold when we received it. Also the dough was very chewy which was a bit weird. The staff was very kind though and the interior is... More

We went late noon (around 15:00) on New Year's Day on an organised city trip (company of 12) - with a focus on classic music. Very large (in fact, too large for an entry) and tasty mixed salad & chicken, average salmon on very good bed of spinach and boiled potatoes, and nice strawberry bavarois. Very nice personnel and spacy... More

We arrived and were not greeted with a 'Hello' but with "no credit cards." Which we were fine with but this fact was reiterated to us at least 4 times during our time here. The service was especially slow in terms of taking orders. The pizza was okay, spaghetti was great but the mozzarella ball started was absolutely awful, do... More

Ate here on a family member's recommendation on a visit to Berlin. Is a massive Italian restaurant, with very efficient service and a varied menu (an English menu is also available) including salads, pizzas, pastas and meat dishes. The serves were very large, and good value. The restaurant does not accept credit cards, so make sure you have cash. Go... More

Dined here one evening. Ordered just pizza and it was good but the quality of the food needs or be counterbalanced with the mediocre service. The uncommunicative maitre'd led us to a poorly placed talbe on the edge of the action in a restaurant that had plenty of space and many better tables. He was surley and made no attempt... More

A huge restaurant under the railway, you cannot book ahead but we had no trouble getting in at 7pm on a Sunday. Although it is huge it does not seem so big when you are in as it is split up into 3 or 4 sections under the arches. The pizzas were very quick to arrive and were excellent, really... More

Food was fair and no value for money. The House wine was terrible. Below avarage from what you can expect of an italian restaurant.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
