We had a delightful meal here - we happened to enter a side door that took us directly into what turns out to be one of the smaller rooms, at the back, with one wall stacked with wine bottles. This was a late dinner for...More

Service was very slow, the waiter seemed to forget about us for most of the night, and the food was decent but the lack of attention by staff (perhaps because we were not locals) dimmed the evening. The waiter even had the temerity to try...More

Upscale (starched tablecloths) with friendly efficient service. We walked over from the Hilton after an overnight flight and were ready for a traditional German meal. The saurbraten was excellent and the sevice quick and friendly. Two nights later we returned for the same meal.

I discovered this restaurant, which has several branches, on a previous visit, and was my first choice this time. The excellent food, the choice of wine and the efficient and friendly service make for an ideal dining place

This is a good choice if you're looking for slightly upscale German food in the downtown area. It is close to the central city subway station and the Hilton, and across the street from the Gerdarmenmark.

Walked in early as a single and was able to get a seat, but you should make a reservation. It was packed when I left and saw a lot of people turned away. Had the sauerbraten which was tasty, but all the locals ordered the...More

In more than 25 years travelling for business and pleasure I never had such negative experience in a restaurant during a business dinner with my boss an colleague. The manager completely miss-treated his waiters and customers too. Food was acceptable but atmosphere was really heavy....More

We had no booking but they fit us in happily about 7pm on a Sunday. It was full by 8pm with a great atmosphere. The liver and then the strudel were exceptional! Spoilt for choice for beverages.

Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given

Yes they accept all kinds of credit cards. As long as they have International coverage, they should be able to accept it.

Description
Our meals we describe as traditional, regional cuisine with Austrian Wiener Schnitzel, which was hailed in the New York Times as "the best steak outside of Vienna." the Berlin style sauerbraten won first Prize in the German Sauerbraten Competition. Moreover, traditional dishes and recipes refined and taken up in part inspired the modern kitchen.
