Visited with friend and teen kids. We each chose different starters and mains and were fascinated by the presentation and combination of flavours. Staff very attentive. Definitely worth a visit for a gourmet veggie experience. Loved the adventure of finding the restaurant and the understated decor.

Exciting arriving here through the back entrance. Lovely welcome. Good table, as not too close to others, so a bit of privacy. Maître d' extremely nice, helpful, charming, but not slimy. All the explanations and recommendations we could wish for from our lovely waitress. We tried a lot of dishes (4 course menu) - top dishes for me were the... More

Came on the recommendation of friends and we're not disappointed. Extremely friendly staff. Being meat eaters, we found the experience very interesting with some unusual combinations. A couple of the courses were less interesting and I do'nt think that the chicory course 'worked' at all. However, the whole evening was a great experience, lively atmosphere and excellent waitress. I would... More

After watching Rick Stien and his report We were somewhat disappointed Food was satisfactory but very restrictive choice Service slow and not attentive to our order Very dark and on arriving and leaving you are in complete darkness in parts No camera are allowed and the reason seemed very feeble hence no pics Very small portions I think Rick had... What a great concept: a vegetarian restaurant with great food and fun ambience - only accessible from a hidden away entrance in a loading dock. You have to search to find the way in but we were very happy with the food and the service. Vegetarian restaurants can be tricky but this one had lots of good options. An older... More

I am normally a strict carnivore, but thoroughly enjoyed my experience at vegetarian Cookies Cream. The great service started from when we arrived for drinks at their sister restaurant, Crackers, and were inivited to leave our coats and later were escorted to the other restaurant. The food was well prepared, extremely flavorful and elegantly presented. I had two dishes with... More

We had a three course menu each. Each course was a deliciously made dish of vegetables that exceeded expectations in both style and taste. In particular, the parmasan dumplings are very recommendable. Would recommend this place to anyone

Quirky location. Very popular. Our waitress was snooty. When I first became a vegetarian the main problem when eating out was that much of the food had the texture of baby food. This is a probem at Cookie Cream. The presentation is exceptional but every course we ate was creamy and lacked texture. It is certainly not the place to... More

We enjoyed the restaurant, but felt it wasn't worth the substantial cost of the meal. Some of the dishes were really good, and some of the dishes were fairly average. Went here after seeing the Rick Stein in Berlin show. The service was very good.

We are not vegetarians, but the food here was delicious. We brought our two small children ages 4 and 6, and the staff were very child friendly. They offered the children free meals. I highly recommend this place. This said, it was ridiculous to find. It is tucked away behind the Westin Grand Berlin hotel. You have to walk down... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
