We visited Tapitas as we were staying in an apartment nearby and a quick TripAdvisor search had suggested it. We booked in advance but there was no need to, as there were plenty of tables free. As it was really warm weather there was seating outside, which we took advantage of, but bear in mind that the restaurant itself is... More

We went her for our last dinner in Berlin. It was a blast. It was probably the cheapest place we visited during our stay, and close to the best. The atmosphere was really good, even tho the waiter didn't speak to much English we got a really nice tapas plate for two persons. The food was so good! I really... More

I do not usually like to write reviews on a place that I had not actually dined in but I was shocked by the manner we were treated when we tried to see if we could get a table here. Granted perhaps they do have a reservation policy but as visitors to the city from another country we would not... More

I have been here many times and always recommend to friends. Great tapas and wine for a good price in a cosy atmosphere.

It's a nice little restaurant, you just enter and find a spot to sit. The service is great and they are always willing to help you out, especially if you don't speak German. The food was really delicious and if you don't quite know the type of wine you want, they aren't afraid to open some bottles just for you... More

Very cozy and intamate, candle lit rooms, delicious Spanish tapas, great prices! We had the most wonderful, romantic date at this little hidden gem! I would reccomend to anyone traveling in Berlin. We will return. The service was a little slow hopefully it was just an off night for the staff!

We went to this little tiny restaurant one night on a whim. We didn't make reservations, which was a mistake... But they actually made a small table for us out of a large hall table they have that is normally not used for guests. The tapas were great (cold or hot, and they had lots of different combinations). With some... More

After eating dinner at "the bird" in Prenzlauer Berg we decided to wander through the nearby streets and stumbled on this small Spanish wine bar. It was 2300 on Sunday night and the waiter immediately offered us either warm or cold Tapas which is a refreshing change from most Berlin restaurants whose kitchens seem to close early. There are only... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
