Was looking for some dinner when we stumbled across Himalaya. The waiter was lovely and chatted to us. The food was delicious, especially the chicken pakora and sauces. Lovely little place and not too expensive!

We had a very relaxed stay at the restaurant. the soup was very tasty and I felt in India. Chapati was same as the one I had in New Delhi 5 years ago. :)

We have returned to this restaurant after 3 years. The good news is that it has not changed… The food was really good and not too expensive. The service was very friendly. Keep going…

We dropped by for dinner, also tempted by the early starting happy hour on drinks. Drinks came quickly and were fine, food followed soon after and was also tasty, service was pleasant and we left satisfied.

We were taken by surprice by this nice and cosy little restaurant on Lychenerstrasse. The service was nice and not in an hurry but let us decide in peace, the food tasty and cheap and we felt welcomed.

We were looking for a place to eat and got ambushed on the sidewalk. Needless to say we decided to eat here. The service was efficient and friendly however the food was tasteless. My chicken also tasted as if it had been reheated? It came nowhere close to the other Indian restaurants we have visited.

The food was excellent! From the sallad pre dinner to the dessert. Will be back directly when visiting Berlin again.

We stopped here because it happened to pop up along the way to the restaurant we had initially planned to go. I should have thought twice when I saw that it wasn't crowded. So, I got all excited looking at the menu and got a whole bunch of stuff. The starters (cauliflower pakora) was so-so, not as crispy as I... More

The service was very good and save disappointing food. I went there with an Indian friend and even he didn't like it. The bread was old and fatty, the meat not very good. The cocktails and the lassi was good, but I wouldn't come again since the food was really worth it.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
