We made a reservation for 4 and really enjoyed our experience. We were seated in the front of the restaurant and received great service and recommendations. Volver offers a selection of Spanish wines and when asked for recommendation of a dry red and white, we were steered to very good and affordable house wine selections. For the food ordering, the... We go this way from the brandebourg door. It was the only restaurant, so we entered. Pata negra, croquettes, calmar, everything is tasty, fresh. Excellent

Shared lots of different plates of tapas among the four of us. Their garlic mayonnaise was fantastic. Honey orange pork, paprikawurst and other sausages were perfectly seasoned and cooked. We were stuffed by the time we left although none of the tapas plates seemed that large. 95Euro for the four of us was a bargain.

We love Spanish food so when we heard tapas, we were like: "where". They don't have a wide selection (I would have loved some calamari a la romana - calamari rings, not baby calamari, with all the tentacles😶), and the "pimientos padron" should already have salt on them. The tuna was good, so is the beer (San Miguel). They mixed... More

Tried on a number of occasions to get a table but always busy, eventually got a table on our last night of our trip to Berlin. Menu was limited but food was fabulous, great atmosphere.

Cozy restaurant with very tasty tapas. Short menu in a nice atmosphere. A bit expensive but good quality food. Staff was ok.

This was my first visit to the restaurant and I simply loved it! The service was friendly, the restaurant is quaint and in a convenient location. The tapas were authentic and I especially liked the bacon-wrapped dates with almonds. I will definitely return to try the creme catalan.

Arrived in Berlin after 10 days in France and we wanted something Spanish for dinner. Found this place which was about a 10 minute walk from our hotel, Adlon Kempinski. Restaurant opens at 6 pm and when we got there, the gentleman owner told us they were fully booked. Seeing our disappointment and that we were a party of 3,... More

My wife and myself ended dining at Volver as pure lucky. We were supposed to eat at ‘Trattoria Su e Giu’ but the arrogant and rude restaurant owner dismiss us and it was only 21:20. We turned towards Invalidenstrasse to a Vietnamese restaurant when a local fellow approached us and recommended the Spanish Volver just a few meters ahead. We... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
