Great Syrian food, calm sit-in atmosphere and friendly staff. I'd go again every time in Berlin. This place is underrated and deserves a higher rank on Lonely Planet.

This was our first visit to a Syrian restaurant and we were very impressed. The service is great and the restaurant has lovely decor- very muted and relaxing. The food was delicious.

Never having visited a Syrian restaurant before I wasn't sure what to expect but while the food was tasty enough it wasn't anything that made you go wow! It's typical of what you would find in any middle eastern restaurant.

we had a lovely meal with great service. Good value for money and nice wine. I don't know if it was a Turkish restaurant but certainly the food had Turkish influence

Very nice restaurant. I have visited this place 3 times in two months. Nice people, good meat, we had lamb chops, chicken dishes. The last time we had their grill plate. That is a huge plate, most of it with minched meat of lamb. May be enough for 2 persons. Their dumplings costs 6 Euros for 4, and is somewhat... More

I have been in Damas several times, and tried most of their Syrian dishes. I really enjoy the food there and re-visit to treat myself to some special dish. They remind me of mama's food. Not only their dishes are cooked with love, but also their service is friendly and nice. The price is a bit high but the experience... More

We had nice dinner in this restaurant. Grill plate was more than enough for one person. Prices weren't too high. Highly recommended!

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
