17€ for a buffet where all the food taste from like a week old. Wouldn't recommend this place not even to my worst enemy. The variety of plates it's short, the quality of the food it's the poorest one the i have find in this city, and the service it's o.k Not coming again even if someone invites me.

Overpriced. This is the topic of this restaurant. We sat outside and a lot of bees joined us so we went inside. But no air conditioning and it is hot so not really a good way to start to eat food. The food was so so, the orange juice was not cold and only 10cl(it was included in the deal)... More

Quite expensive place which is more of a bar. Possible to sit outside, though the Karl Marx alle is quite heavily trafficked

We sat outside and enjoyed ice cream and coffees while catching up with friends. Later explored the inside.

Poor service (one waiter in particular was downright rude, the other was quite friendly). Pricey as every 2cL of liquid costs you 4+ euro. Food was ok.

We stopped off on route to another restaurant further down the road. Requirement was a drink - and this fitted the bill. Was nicely decorated, and had a good menu. Didn't eat, beer was the standard price. Recommend if in the area but don't make a special trip to come here.

we took a wrong turning from Alexander Platz and this is a very Eastern looking building on a duel carriageway. We just had drinks. The décor is very nice with giant organ pipes. Try the Banana Wheat beer it is nicer than it sounds.

Large choice for brunch but because of their opening times you have to eat quickly to take advantage of the buffet. Think twice before taking the drinks Flatrate, it's not always worth it. The service was not very friendly.

We came here for Sunday brunch on a recent visit to Berlin, arriving at around 1.30pm. It was busy but we didn't have to wait long to be seated. There was a good selection of food, and at €14.50 including a glass of Prosecco I thought it was decent value - thought water and coffee was extra).

We came this place based on reviews- best brunches in the Berlin. This one got no.4. Sorry, but it was terrible. Firstly waiter was rude and sent us somewhere dawn with child even there were places upstairs. But we can handle bad service if the food is good.:) it was so unquality, untasty. Plus hair in the food. We paid... More

What's fascinating at Alberts is the eclectic mix of people that changes throughout the day. Early morning is the time for singletons and friends to get together over breakfast, at noon it's time for business lunches, tourists take time out to relax there in the afternoon and by the evening, it's open-house when the young and the young at heart all descend! The grill is an impressive feature, as you can watch the Chef over your shoulder! There's a choice of fish, meat and vegetables, plus home-made bread and a reasonably priced daily menu from 11am to 3pm. Breakfast is served from 9am and throughout the day, definitely a plus for late-risers. Brunch is served from 10am - 4pm on Sundays and public holidays and also at a discount rate from 3pm for late risers. As a special treat for children, they can prepare their own scrambled egg! There's also free WLAN access for guests.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
