Who would have thought that one of the best cafes in Berlin was Spanish? On our first evening in Berlin, we wandered through the well-known Hackescher Markt and then around the corner to Rosenthaler Strasse that has many cafes, restaurants and shops. That’s where we found Yosoy. As with many European cafes, you have to accept that people will smoke... More

I'm partly Spanish and therefore really passionate about Spanish cuisine, it has to be authentic. Every time I crave tapas I come here, cause the food is just too good! It's just like in Spain. Seriously, haven't found a better spot for Spanish food so far. Just the best!

We found this place by chance over the New Year break. What impressed me most was its authenticity, both in set up and food. Its quite small inside but we managed to secure one of the 2 window high tables which offered a good view of the world going by as we tucked in to some of our normal favourites,... More

This tapas bar was recommended to us, and for a good reason. You feel like you're stepping into a tapas bar in Madrid or Mallorca. Decor and staff all very authentic, and the staff were delightful. Tapas were delicious, and indistinguishable from being in Spain. Food also came really quickly, despite being super busy. A great place to dine!

We stopped by for a quick snack and drinks. The place was crowded but service was still fast. Our tapas plate was really good and the drink prices reasonable. This place is totally worth a visit if You are looking for a good glass of wine and something small to eat.

After doing some research on TA as to where offered an "All You Can Eat" menu for lunchtime, this restaurant seemed to be the best option. It did absolutely not disappoint. Whilst very unassuming from the outside, and quite small on the inside, the staff were super friendly, the atmosphere was incredible and the food was remarkable. The place was... More

Came here in the last day of our trip to Berlin. And what a good send off! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service is with lots of smiles. We ate at lunch time and had the all you can eat. Fantastic value at €8.90 per person! Would definitely recommend people go there if they are in Berlin!

Decided to pop in for lunch, well what a treat it was. Delicious tapas and wines that compliment the food well. I have been to Spain many times and this place is alongside those in Spain. Real authentic foods. The staff were very friendly and attentive. This place is great value for money.

Description
Welcome to "YOSOY"
the Spanish Tapas-Bar in Berlin Mitte.
Tapas strongly belong to the daily life in Spain and contain all the small appetizing cold and warm spanish food from which we are offering a choice.

The origin of Tapas lies in Andalusia and is closely connected with a GLASS of sherry or wine. One says that the piece of bread, the slice of ham or the cheese which was put as a "lid" on the sherry or wineglass, was put around to retain the strange aroma in the GLASS, that's the origin of the Tapa-culture in Spain.
In addition, the pleasure and the way of life came naturally to lean against a bar and to talk to friends, strangers, the family or the landlord of this and that having a small lunch and a glass of sherry or wine and lose the whole time of the day. Hopefully, we have created such a comfortable place with our Tapas-Bar.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
