A great place with good food and Cool atmosphere . We really enjoyed having dinner there. The fish was good, but we strongly recommend the spinach with fried eggs

We loved this cosy, traditional pub-restaurant. We visited twice, as it was just around the corner from our hotel, the Azimut. It is well-located, just a short walk away from the Zoologischer Garten bus and train station. On our afternoon visit, the manager/barman was funny and friendly, and gave us generous ‘tastes’ of some of the local beers, to help... More

Reasonably priced menu in typical German surroundings. Good food and beer. Don't forget to try the rote grutze pudding !

Definitely too much expensive (75cl of water 6€) if compared to most of other typical places. Quality ok, personnel ok, good place

An obviously very popular restaurant, but we were accommodated very quickly by attentive and friendly staff. Excellent local German food, and a good selection of beers and wines. I had Goulash soup to start and Berliner Teller for mains, couldn't manage a dessert! Couldn't fault anything!

Typical cozy restaurant at few meters from the Hard Rock Café and all the means of transport. Warm place where you can enjoy the schnitzel or the typical pork with a god Berliner beer and close the meal with a super tasty cake or strudel. This is a small typical restaurant so it is suggested to book in advance otherwise... More

This place is a hidden gem. You might miss it because of the scaffolding up now, but if you want a good schnitzel, go here! Great atmosphere, my boyfriend and I could have sat here all day but we had to go on our walking tour. Funny waiter with a dry sense of humor. Excellent spot and would go back... More

This feels like a very german place, and the food is great. The waitor was very friendly too. We found this place through tripadvisor, and was not disappointed. I bet the german sausages are great for dinner too.

Another one of the traditional German-Berlin eateries. Nothing is really bad, but no dish we tasted was really good, either. For a sampling of traditional food, the visitor should move further away from the Kurfürstendamm in direction Charlottenburg,

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
