We had lunch at KaffeeMitte in the first bright sunny day of the season. The terrace is nice. Had salad's for lunch. Excellent food. The place is self service; well organized with a beeper you get when you order and pay. Great place for a coffee or a quick bite to eat!

This is a very nice - and always full - coffee bar. Seats inside and outside. Very good coffee and very service minded and attentive staff.

Cool spot for both coffees and breakfast. A local's spot. My sister and I had coffees (americano, flat white, and then take away cappuccinos!) and breakfast here during our visit to Berlin. It was fantastic. Wish we had taken pics of the food, but we dug right in. Very fresh! Scrambled eggs with perfectly sautéed tomatoes, fresh bread, and salad... More

We stopped here whilst walking around Weinmeisterstrasse area on a Saturday. We got quick and friendly service and then sat down. The coffee was fine and the cakes as well but the price was too high!

We had a brunch there and were a bit disappointed. The portions are huge but it was alright, nothing exceptional. Service could be improved too. Fairly central in Berlin. Nous nous sommes arrêtés pour un brunch qui était plutôt correct, rien d'exceptionnel. Portions généreuses. Le service pourrait également être amélioré. Très central à Berlin.

Nice location, huge airy indoor area. That is where to good stuff stops. Service is really bad. One of those places where gossiping among staff is more important than serving. At one point the girl serving actually stopped making coffee to have an intense conversations about last night for about 5 minutes with people queuing. Clientele was made up of... More

Love their coffee, sandwiches and the cozy atmosphere. Their might be pretty busy and loaded with people, so be prepared for standing in the bar enjoying your coffee. Locations is perfect - close to all shopping in Mitte.

This cafe is located just next to the metro station Weinmeisterstraße, in the overly area of Mitte. This cafe had a great atmosphere and was filled with customers. The staff spoke English as well as German and Italian so communication was easy. I did not eat there but the food looked delicious. The sweet cake I had was nothing less.... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
