A lack of atmosphere has let this restraunt down. The food is good, you can that when there is so many Chinese eating there. Even some background music would have helped

As a Chinese, I have to say the food in Ming dynastie was among the best Chinese restaurants I've been to in Europe. The buffet price was quite reasonable. The choices may not be many as in most of the European Chinese restaurants but the quality was good. I enjoyed the cold and warm dishes. The only thing I didn't... More

Food was really bad. Service in the restaurant just as bad as food. Ordered a meal for 2 people and after waiting for 3 hours and reminding waiters to bring us the rest of the food and receipt, left the restaurant without dessert. Feel very sorry for spending 40 EUR as the food doesn't cost even one third of the... More

I adored Ming Dynastie, after a few days of austere german food I was delighted to eat delicious and porky chinese. Everything I had with my friends, from beef pancakes, to roast duck and fried pork was DELICIOUS: They also have genuine chinese treats, since several people from the embassy go there to deat. So if you want to try... More

Came here on Christmas Eve with my partner. When we arrived the lady pointed us towards a free table in the corner. We sat down and waited about 20 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, along with our food order, after being ignored by the waitress countless times. Even at busy times I expect to be told assured... More

No food, poor choice, cold. Leave it alone, 15 euro and a drink of coke was 4.50 euro. The food which was left had been sat around for ages, we didn't know what any of it was as it had no English translation so had to guess what things were. If you're English and use to sweet and sour or... More

Girlfriend and I welcomed a British friend staying not so far away....buffet dinner available at €14,80 p.p...but what to expect? Not disappointed - plenty of tasty goodies for soup, starters, main course and dessert, ranging from fresh sliced melon to a superb aubergine stew; crispy prawns to grilled duck. Service - friendly and attentive - ambience - great riverside location.

The place looks nice, thematic furniture and colors. The food wasn't impressive, but it was fine. The only thing that spoiled my experience there was the service. It looked like the waiters were in a bad mood already, and it only worsened during our lunch. Considering the fact that we ordered standard meals and didn't have any requests or complaints... More

After eating the stodgy and hearty German meals, I had to get Chinese food. Found this place having a great menu and the food was good. Can't compare it with Chinese food in China or else where but it was good. I did come back here to eat a second time. Wasn't disappointed.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
