, food was very good, the staff were great. if I was forced to list one complaint it would be that service was a little cold and slow, but nothing to ruin your meal. Fully recommend this place.

We came to Fam Dang for some dinner. The first thing that catched our eyes was the viet. style atmosphere of the restaurant, really liked it! The food and drinks were amazing!

I stepped shy restaurant, people eat with chopsticks. I had interesting smells and many herbs in the dish. I went to drop chicken / beef / duck. the rate was excellent. I tried a boiled egg in caramel- delicious crust.

Great Vietnamese food. Fresh, well cooked, and very tasty. Waiters were lovely, despite our embarrassing lack of German, and the bill was incredibly reasonable. Would not hesitate to return.

This place is a hidden treasure (not so hidden but wasn't recommended as a dinner option by acquaintances). The staff were great, so efficient with everything and so friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, I have never had Vietnamese but I'd say it would be pretty up there. I would urge you to try any of their spring rolls or... More

We had a very great meal here. We had tried to go to DUDU across the street but it was booked, and we lucked out! It's not super fancy, but was great for my husband and I. The food is really fantastic, so are the prices. The waitress was not so nice at first, but ended up warming up throughout... More

As Fam Dang was just across from our hotel, we decided to go there. What a nice surprise! The food was very good, very fresh, ample portions, and I can particularly recommend their crispy roast duck, which I liked a lot. Coconut soup was also very nice. All that for very low prices. The two of us had our dinner... More

What is so special about Fam Dang that earns it such great reviews on TA? I cannot fathom, really. The food was just your regular average Asian dishes and the service was quite poor. We asked to share our dishes and received no plates, I actually had to ask for utensils, and we tried three time until they located the... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
