We visited this place after seeing it recommended online. We were prepared for potentially long queues but as it was a Friday there wasn't any. There was a reserved table which we were happily given with no fuss. We were greeted with welcoming smiles (we always look out for this). The service was fairly quick and efficient. The waiting time... More

Cool place for breakfast, they serve various types of it, omelettes and egg plates were very tasty and beautifully presented. As for pancakes - not that good. Its a bit annoying that we had to approach several times to get in - the place is crowded. Overall, if you can get in, get in :)

Wonderful breakfast, beautifully presented - my plate looked like a work of art! First time I've I had eggs in a jar, and I'm a believer. So, so good! Friendly service and the cappuccino hit the spot too. Loved this place and the yummy food.

We missed brunch but ended up having 2 excellent pasta dishes, not your average pasta but made with real care, creativity and flavour. Despite feeling like the only people who were tourists there, we still enjoyed the experience. We gave up trying to speak broken German, and relations with staff became less tense !! The interesting menu would definitely tempt... More

Since a couple of years now, I have not found a tastier breakfast in this city.. Fresh and mostly healthy ingredients, friendly service, nice people, inspired menu...The only con I can think of is that it is so famous you have to wait your turn to get a free table, this means don't go if you are in a hurry.... We came across this little Jem on the Sunday morning of our weekend trip to Berlin. The food was out of this world, there was a wait of around 45 minutes but please don't let that put you off!! The staff were lovely and offered us drinks outside and we waited. A must go...

Excellent place to eat, had to queue for 10 mins , but as the place is so popular , it was expected. The staff speak perfect English and the service was great. The menu is also in English , I had the full breakfast , bacon ,eggs, salad, bread and coffee. Very trendy place

Small and cosy place and apparantly very popular as we could not have breakfast on Saturday, therefore returned on Sunday. Large selection of breakfast options, we had a mixed platter with excellent bread, a strammer max and egg/salmon. All very enjoyable and so was the coffee.

Breakfast/brunch for two: 18,70€ We were lucky to have a table because it is a successful little restaurant. The place is trendy, contemporary, nice staff, busy. The food was great, delicate and tasty, the bread is fresh and home made, we took another basket because it was so good! A great choice, the name is a bit strange, like their... More

Delicious omelettes (the one with honey and goat cheese was very good), delicate service (the looks of the plates is very attractive) and a cozy atmosphere. The cappuccino was very regular, nothing special if you're into good coffee. Overall, I think this place is a nice Kreuzberg Café to have a brunch at, but I didn't find anything extraordinary in... Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
