Went here for lunch and very disappointed. No changes allowed as to what goes with a sandwich such as fruit instead of chips. I had a chicken club sandwich which was terribly bland and the chicken not so good. My wife had a burger which was good. I asked for the toilette and was directed to the one and only... More

We used this restaurant for only the first time in 5/6 visits to the Park Inn, Alexanderplatz, purely because we like to explore and find alternatives. However, the one time we visited Spagos, we were not disappointed. Ordinary standard breakfast (many variants!) and as much good coffee as you want for a suprisingly small price. Next time we go to... More

Came here with my boyfriend on a city break for our anniversary. As we were staying in the park inn hotel this hotel was on the bottom floor. It was an absolute gem finding. The food is incredible, the atmosphere was so chilled and relaxed and the staff were lovely. It was so good we returned 2nd night on the... More

This food in this restaurant was nice but not wonderful. The staff were friendly. The building was situated facing on to the street with good views.

Whilst the ambience of Spagos is lovely, especially when the live music began at 9pm, the food is less than desirable. The pasta sauces really just taste like something out of a packet and really are not worth the money. Would not recommend for food. Many more lovely options in Berlin but maybe visit for a drink or two whilst... More

I ate here with my partner for my 22nd birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. The cocktails were great, the food was better and the service was impeccable. Our waiter Joshua was perfect! They spoilt me for my birthday with a glass of Moët and a sparkler in our Sunday. Love it!

This is a lovely bar and restaurant attached to The Park Inn at Alexanderplatz in Berlin. There's a lovely atmosphere almost chic....especially for a hotel restaurant. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and everyone speaks English which is really helpful if you come from Ireland. We had dinner one evening and breakfast each morning of our stay. Dinner was... Went a late night for a couple of last drinks, The cocktails and mixers were good, and a huge variety of brands to choose. Prices a bit up, not too scary :-) The night we went there was a man playing piano and singing and a couple of ladies offering massages. The atmosphere was very nice and service very good.

Service was slow. Food was bland (carbonara tastes like the sauce comes from a sachet) and what you see on the menu is not what is served to you. I ordered herb crusted medallions of pork and was served medium cooked thick portions of pork fillet without any crust. We had to order a side dish of ham (E1.50) for... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
