It is a nice place with nice staff and rather boring vegan food. The prices are way to high and the taste of the food way to average. The sandwhiches are overly americanised and strangely adapted to vegan diet. I would prefer a little less pretentious food and more focus on the taste rather than the "innovative" spirit of the... I'm very suspicious of vegan food, specially when it comes to substituting milk derivatives (cream, cheese, etc). And I can say that it was not only the best vegan pastries I tried, but one of the best I ever had. The place is also famous for it's brunch on Sundays. I'll certainly get back!

Nice cakes and good Brunch, not exactly mind blowing, but rare enough to be special. 9.50€ is quite steep for the amount of food on offer in my opinion, not best value for money. I recommend the cakes - deliciously sinful : )

Homemade specialities, a wide selection, everything is fresh and tasty, great range of homemade breads, non of the usual garbage one usually gets in brunch buffets around the city.

Staying in Neukolln

Neighbourhood Profile
No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
