We were waiting 45min for our breakfast. It's expensive and when I ordered pancakes with fruits I expected more than a bite of old watermelon and slice of orange. There much better places in Berlin.

This is a good place to swing by for breakfast. The prices are reasonable and the coffee is very good. I had the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup absolutely delicious and washed down with a lovely coffee makes you ready for a adventure in Berlin. Recommend to everyone 👍

We visited as this place does a vegan brunch. The brunch was nice but most things were bread based which was difficult as he tries to avoid gluten. Nice location and good for people watching. Fast and polite service with a wide range of food (1 vegan option, no GF that we could see)

Would total recommend Spreegold for a fully authentic hipster Berlin brunch experience. Fantastic great quality food, big portions, huge selection. I had the 'breakfast salad' which was potentially the best brunch I've ever had!

One of the best brunch places in Berlin. Adore their Canadian pancakes and smoothies as a healthier option. Decent coffee. This place is always lively and crowded. They also offer lunches and cocktails/snacks at the nighttime. Just get your people watching place right, and enjoy!

Very hipster place with massive brunch menu. Everything trendy and tasty - acai bowls, porridges, shakshuka, eggs... The service was however really slow (at least on a Saturday) and the place was a bit messy.

This place is bright, fresh, and hip. You order at the counter, and get a buzzer when you're food is ready. They were able to do egg whites for me too- which is a huge perk! I got the paleo omelette. Delicious! The orange lemonade was really good too. At the time of our visit, it was cash only.

I literally had the best eggs benedict I had ever had. My friend had the Truffle eggs florentine and all 4 eggs between us were perfectly poached. Would recommend.

As soon as you walk into this place it has a homely buzz about it. A large glass window allows you to see into the kitchen at the chefs who were very busy. The staff were helpful and spoke very good English and were quick to serve. He recommended a caramel macchiato made with almond milk and it was delicious.... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
