We got sent here for the buffet breakfast by our hostel and I'm very glad of it. The food was well-prepared and tasty and there was a good range of it. The level of customer service was excellent. The chef (who also seemed to be the manager/owner) was incredibly friendly, taking time out to help my friend and I find... More

Booked their breakfast buffet through Grand Hostel Berlin for around 6-7 euros. It's a great option for vegetarians as well. The food was fresh and tasted great. Absolutely loved the flavoured yoghurt.

Turned up this morning as a group of 8. It was near the end of the breakfast shift but the chef/server was rude and angry. If you are not interested in the business politely say you are closed or breakfast is over. Don't take our money then moan and complain and throw the dishes around loudly muttering. The buffet spread... More

We booked Grand Ma's through Grand Hostel Berlin as breakfast during our stay, and it is by far the best breakfast buffet I've had at a hostel before!

Breakfast is pretty good, with a complete variety of choice..very near to Grand Hostel Berlin, from where you will have a discount for breakfast. The only problem was the unplesant personnel..

Right next to the Grand Berlin Hostel, this is a nice place to eat breakfast if you are looking to eat a lot of food for a good price. Nice variety of food offered at the breakfast buffet. Reserve the day before at the hostel and it's a bit cheaper than just showing up. Myself, I don't eat a lot... More

Attached to the Grand Hostel, for a little over 6 Euros you can get a very good Breakfast if you book one night prior at the hostel.

Good range of options with an excellent value for money all you can eat breakfast. But the setting is what really makes it special - and the lovely staff.

This restaurant is next to the Grand Hostel and if you stay at the Hostel, you can book a breakfast for a reduced price. The staff is extra friendly and the food is superb. From what I could tell, they also serve noon meals, but I did not have a chance to try that meal there.

Thank Nanette B

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
