We visited the one by the Hilton at Stadtmitte. The best part was the gentleman behind the counter. My husband had an opportunity to chat with him in Arabic, and he was welcoming and kind. A really nice visit in a generic sort of coffee shop. The croissant was good.

Coffee on a very convenient location, at few meters from Postdamer Platz where you can get a good breakfast at an affordable price compare to the minimum charged by hotels. Bakery is fresh and also nice sandwiches, Coffee is also good. Staff very friendly.

A coffee shop that offers quite good coffee. The coffeshop was a little different from the other coffeshop we visited in Berlin due to the way they served the coffee. This was brought to you by the staff and you had to attract the staff when paying.

it enjoys a perfect location and it offers a generous selection of snacks, drinks, and whatever demanded by being hungry. Still in my opinion , it is too touristic and lacks a soul . Service is friendly and quick , coffee, mmm not to be exited so al the iced chai tea that my daughter ordered . A good place... More

Einstein coffee shop is located right next to check point Charlie. We took a break there before our visit to Mauermuseum. The coffee was great as well as the apple strudel and waffle. We sat next to the window and enjoyed watching people taking pictures with the border guards. Totally recommend it !

It is perfect for breakfast. Although some waitresses do not like to speak in English. Still, the food was amazing and the location is perfect to start your day in Berlin.

Tried to pay for what was a pretty damn good looking strawberry tart and a drink. I had just gotten money out of the atm and only had a $50 note, I apologised as I gave it to the waitress saying it was all I had. She made a face, and asked I had anything else, she shrugged her shoulders... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
