We loved the place, the cinnamon cake was great. The atmosphere was too quiet but maybe we came too early on Monday morning. The kids loved the place and we will definitely come again.

Great place to go for lunch or coffee. Located in a nice area for shopping! We had a cheese cake to die for! Service is quick and relaxed.

Barcomi's Deli is still living in the past. If you like no change, this is your place. However if you look at the very used menue card , You may notice a lot of the items are still with "Sprossen/sprung" . Not everybody 's favor . The acoustic is loud and especially in the corners to high. Service is friendly... More

Been there for breakfast. The food was delicious with plenty options. Only downside was the staff. Not rude but more like not caring. Maybe she was tired or had a problem the day we've been there.

Amazing bagels - I had two bagels with three cream cheeses; really great. Partner had granola which was also good. Coffee great. Perfect spot for brunch before a big day out.

We'd just completed a walking tour and were very hungry and looking for somewhere tasty to eat (and not the overpriced and boring spots). Our guide recommended this place. Great selection of sandwiches, salads, cakes etc. I had a delicious parma ham and salad sandwich. Oh and the rhubarb juice was delicious. I just wished I had room for a... More

Great little place for brunch, little bit hard to find. Go through the gates and keep walking. Lots of options, ask for menu in English. They had 3 gluten free options. Waffles and two cakes. Good enough for me, the waffles were tasty. Bagels also great (not gf). Lots of options sweet and savoury. Would recommend.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
