I visited the cafe on a Saturday afternoon with a friend for coffee and cake. The experience is ruined from the start as you currently have to access the cafe from the Superdry store below. The cafe is an old Berlin haunt that my friend...More

Cafe Kranzler is a classic, well-known Cafe in Berlin. The quality of their pastries, coffee and tea is outstanding. Located close to Berlin Zoo Train and Bus station, it's an easy 2-3minute walk for a great view of the surrounding area - if you are...More

The cafe sits at second-floor level (if you're British) and is reached by a lift. Its greatest asset is the view, a 200 degree panorama taking in Zoo station to the Ku'damm. In better weather, sitting out on the open terrace is a very pleasant...More

Good place to have a quick drink and then continue on. Feels historic and well positioned to see the center or Berlin shopping.

Even though I lived in Berlin for 3 years, I never made it to the KRANZLER. The café is one of the classic Berlin Cafés and I am told it used to be amazing. Today, you enter very strangely via a shop in the basement...More

In amongst the development around Cafe Kranzler this really is a highlight of a traditional Berlin cafe! People have been coming here for years and the interior and signage suggest that and the menu is fantastic! I visited back in 1979 and nothing has changed...More

Went for Sunday brunch with a local friend. The older, simple interior is a bit of disconnect with its lively, awning covered, circular exterior and balcony. But, its landmark status is worth a visit. Having survived the war amazingly unscathed it became a landmark for...More

Great place to stop, rest for a moment from shopping. Beautiful view of the Ka'damm pedestrians and traffic. You are above it all. . The potato soup was just like my mother's, delicious.

Good Sunday buffet for breakfast. Nice view of the neighborhood. Good daily breakfast as well. A Berlin institution.

We visited Kranzler in the afternoon and were lucky to have a full-view table outdoors. The ice-cream was absolutely delicious, service was fast and friendly; it's a pity the place has changed compared to old times, but it's still worth visiting!

Description
THE BARN is a leading European Specialty Coffee Roastery established in 2010 in Berlin. We roast highest quality coffees from some of the best farms out there. We supply many influential coffee shops and home brewers across the world. Cafe Kranzler: The flagship store in the listed Kranzler building will be the third outlet of THE BARN in the German capital: renowned for their uncompromising quest for quality, the team, headed by company founder Ralf Rüller, only works with highest quality, single origin coffee sourced from sustainable and fully traceable farming. Roasted at their own manufacturing site in Berlin. THE BARN celebrates a new world of coffee at Kranzler, one of the oldest traditional coffeehouses in Berlin. This is where the renaissance of hand-brewed coffee will be undergoing a revival in a modern context. Der 360 degree panoramic view across Kurfürstendamm and the two extensive sunterraces offer a fantastic spot to watch the busy boulevard whilst relaxing over a great cup of coffee.
