We were looking for a place with wide range of breakfasts Berliner style and the menu is quite impressive! Salty, sweet, exquisite touch - perfect! There were no problems when we asked to serve our flammkuchen without arugula and to substitute jams and honey with Nutella packs. The interior is also cost, nice and appealing, can be a cafe for... Great chilled cafe in funky area. Waitress was awful. Rude from the outset - maybe a bad day. Coffee average, but great breakfast and free wifi and a lovely leafy part of Berlin. Customer service improvement needed. As felt like I was a nuisance to her rather than a paying customer in a cafe with less than 5 other people... More

This a nice little bar / restaurant in a busy neighbourhood in Berlin - something of an oasis of calm - with free WiFi too, which is a definite bonus. The food is tasty and good and the usual selection of drinks you'd expect are available. The service is sometimes a bit hit and miss, but nothing too terrible. I'd... More

Worth a visit if you want good authentic "Kiez" (neighborhood) feeling. Newspapers and womens magazins (on the wall in the back) for your convenience. There is a cinema attached (closed in summer) and one can sit outside. Definitely worth a visit for coffee lovers (strong Irish coffee!).

The main excelence of this bistro is that it is one of the few that has managed to resist the rabid gentrification of the neighborhood ("Kiez"), and preserves the sometimes gritty but always solidary and resepctful demeanor that you seek from young Berlin progressives and their places to go. The food is generally great, straightforward, without pretentions, but in no... More

Our hotel staff directed us to this area as the reckoned it is the best place to watch the Euro Football finals.. They weren't wrong either! Every establishment had numerous screens Inside and out. We were lucky enough to find a spot in "Intimes".. Just in time for kick off. The staff were really friendly and service unbelievable considering how... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
