We ended up at this place by mistake, as we were trying to the place next door, Cocolo Ramen. The coincidence ended up being quite good, as the service, food were very good and at a decent price. Totally recomend this place, food is good, service is very good, and it's actually a quite cozy place, good for small friends... More

I cannot say if it the best Sushi in Berlin, as I have only been to two sushi restaurants in Berlin, but it the best Sushi I have had for a long time. We made a quick reservation 20minutes before arrival and was placed at the last table for 6 people near the kitchen sharing it with two other people.... More

We ordered 2 starters and 2 main courses, all courses and starters were decent at best. The service itself was okay, but also not the best. We had to wait until the waitress took our order and the food took quite some time to arrive as well. Overall, I wouldn't recommend.

The crew was kind, the food was really good, especially the salmon which was really fresh and tasty. We were two and were served between 5-10 minutes after we ordered, which was really fast. Also the sushis are made in front of you and you can see all the ingredients. A good address, I'll return there for sure!

One of my Berlin favourites. Creative and delicious sushi in a nicely designed place - during the summer also with a nice terrace.

I had diner with friends in Kuchi. The sushi was very good there. I can taste that they were fresh. The service was good, too. The only part I don't like is that people have to wait outside if you are there before 6pm. Not a good idea in winter.

This is a great find. Amazing soft shell Crab rolls and noodle soups. It is busy so you probably will queue but worth it as turnover is quick and service good. Probably not a place to risk a big party unless you have booked.

When the concierge of the Ritz-Carlton proposed Kuchi, we had no idea of what to expect. The restaurant is just amazing. The quality of the food is unbelievable. One of the best Sushi Restaurants I have ever visited... On top of that, the prices are surprisingly low...

We enjoyed a Volcano sushi roll as an appetizer and both ordered the Crispy Duck Soup for our main courses. The food was decent. Not amazing but good enough. Knowing that the soup would be salty, I asked for Leitungswasser and the lady flat-out said NO, or that they must charge 50 cents to each person for a glass. Entschuldigung?... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
