First time ever, that somebody asked one of us to leave a restaurant... :-( But from the beginning... We have booked on quite short notice, 1,5 hours before for 6 people. On the way to the restaurant another colleague joined us. At the entrance we told the staff, that we are now one person more. The waiter was not very happy... More

It was not a personal thing. You extremely annoyed other guests because of your loudness so that they were complaining. In such cases, my staff is absolutely authorized to ask guests to leave. That's just fair because guests don't want to be disturbed in their dinner evening as they pay not only for food and wine but also for a... More

The Brooklyn is nice cozy restaurant which serve wide selection of meat from US, Argentina and Australia. Go for Rib-eye and corn&bacon side. Simply the best.

Great service, very expensive and limited vine list. Tried the us rib eye, meat was very dry. Got the Australian cut instead but very underwhelming.. discussed with the waiter about meats and he said that Kobe beef was terrible and to fat.. 😳 scary that someone who only serves meat can say that, obviously clueless... stay away, it's a proper... There are a lot of mixed reviews of this restaurant. Main issues are with rude waiters, expensive food or liimited wine list. But there are also many good reviews. We decided to give it a try during our recent trip to Berlin. The waiters were very polite during our visit. The menu and wine list was good as well. Some... More

If you like meat then this is the place to go. We had trouble convincing them to take a party of 10 but they eventually agreed. Services was good, steaks were great , good German red wines. Prices were a little too high for my liking but meal was great. They didn't have air con which was ok although it... More

The meat is excellent. We tried the Argentinian Black Angus Rib Eye served as Surf and Turf, the US Black Angus Rib Eye and the Chateaubriand. All were cooked exactly like ordered. However, one should keep in mind that cooking style differs from one country to another. For this they offered a guide on how they prepare the meat From... More

Restaurant looks very nice, waiters are very well dressed However, for a restaurant that calculates the price of 14 euros for a regular caesar salad, and around 35-50 euro for a steak, excluding fries 6 euros or vegetables 6-10 euro per portion, in my opinion, all should be perfect. And it was far from perfect: We ordered a starter, (there... More

We apologized for the fries while you were in our restaurant as we recognized you were unhappy and we did a mistake. And we also did not charge for them. I'm glad you enjoyed our meat and the atmosphere! And again I'm sorry for the fries and also the (unavailable) starters you chose first. More

good meal in boutique restaurant in Berlin. expensive but good quality, wine list small and prohibitive due to cost. Meal for ten was just under £1,000 euros with wine, steaks good. very quiet for a Friday night at 8 pm, only two other diners in.

Just a quick remark: It may well be that you have visited our restaurant during UEFA EURO 2016 and therefore it was that empty, especially when Germany have had a match. More

The steak at the Brooklyn was as good as any you'd find at the best steakhouses in the States...and I eat at a lot of them. The sides were also very good; we had fries and mushrooms. The challenge was the service...doesn't exist. And that makes it hard.

Our steaks were absolutely wonderful, tender and flavorful; prepared to perfection! The atmosphere is warm and cozy with a hip NYC feeling and staff was very professional, knowledgeable about the menu and very service oriented! Cocktails are pricey but delicious and no complaints on either the appetizers or desserts!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
