Finally we lunch here after some theater performance nearby. The place always packed of people and most of them not locals or just Tourists. I order schawarma wrap with falafel and haloumi cheese. Surprisingly the taste as good as what i read in the review, they use vollkorn bread and the falafel are freshly made so everything so delicious and... More

This place is one of those where you do not expect to get your own table, but you share it with other people. Like in a fast food style, but a bit better... I'm not sure, I guess some people do not like that, but it was quite an experience. And the main thing, why you're there, the food, was... More

We had lunch here a few days ago. Very good and very quick service. Great tasty food for good value. We both had falafel plates. There is a bit loud music in the restaurant, so for us it was not a place to linger for longer. But for a quick quality bit it was perfect!

This place offers a big variety of delicious libanise tastes and food. Portions are big and very tasty. Staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. Room is very small and music is being played loud.

We got attracted by this restaurant thanks to its colorful interiors and floral display. Service was really quick, almost instantaneous. We got a plate of schawarma and one of falafel, with two soft drinks for a total of about €25. Food was great but the music was really loud and talking was made difficult.

this small Leabanese place serves up a delicious array plates...which can be found in many places around Berlin. But the quality here does stand out and also the presentation. Unfortunately the prices rise every year, which is not normal for this city - but it still reins as a very good option for an authentic Berlin experience

Eastern mediterranean cuisine is my favourite, I would die for good falafel, shawarma or kofte. Babel serves this type of food in the best possible way; the outside seating places are usually encompassed by fragrant flowers and the meals? It is a great experience just looking at them. Colorful mixture of salads, pickles, mango dressing and all of the other... More

We returned to Babel after we had a great meal here 6 years ago and it was a good choice. Nice detail: nothing changed, even the personel was the same. This small typical restaurant has little space, but great dishes. We arrived at 19h and were seated directly. Timing was perfect because the queue was about 15 or 20 people... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
