We had a very tasty lunch at Lubitsch. The place has a history with its former owner being featured with cigar in mouth and black and white paintings; yet it is modern with elegant gray walls and candles, even at lunch. Small but cozy bar; excellent service, and really good food. We loved the cucumber salad, spinach dumplings (their take... More

A delightful traditional restaurant. Service was very friendly. Not a touristy place, clientele seemed mostly local, but we were welcomed warmly and waiter had excellent English. He kindly translated menu for us. Weinershnitzel was perfect, lovely flavour and crispy. Traditional warm potato salad delicious. And best apple tart I have had in memory, super fine pastry and lovely finely sliced... More

We had a lovely meal sitting on an outside table. The staff were all charming and our food and drinks (fried calves liver, fillet of Arctic river salmon, mixed berry gelato and individual glasses of wine) were excellent and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back when we're next in Berlin.

We liked the food, service and the atmosphere. The menu was varied and we enjoyed on both nights - fish and meat. The portions were ample,. The service was excellent. The waitress gave us very personalized attention - (She was thrilled to serve Americans and helped us with our selections) - The food served was continental.

I get to Berlin every few years and have always eaten at this restaurant as in the past the food was always excellent. This time it was average at best and perhaps not quite that good. I guess the next time I come to Berlin I will try it again because no one is perfect and chefs can have an... More

We had a starter with a soup and crispy ravioli and a main course with lamb. The starter was too salty and the lamb could have cooked a little longer. Service was very friendly but a bit slow.

Easily made a reservation just an hour in advance of our visit on a Friday evening. Warmly greeted and welcomed. Menus in English. We enjoyed lovely homemade soups, a salad, lamb shank, and rump steak as well as housemade lemonade and cocktails. Great, attentive service as well. Highly recommend.

We had not pre booked and although the restaurant was very busy they found a table for two with a smile (not always the case we found in Berlin restaurants). Food was varied and superb with an excellent wine by the glass menu. The biggest and best Schnitzel I have ever eaten!

Lubitsch is one of our VRBO host's top recommendations. My wife, adult son and I went there last night. We had 3 different entrees. All three were excellent.

Very pleasant restaurant with outdoor seating area. Good service and nicely presented food. The steak was very good.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
