Very tasty and authentic Greek food! The staff is also Greek and the atmosphere just like in a real Greek "taverna". Highly recommended! Only disadvantage: unfortunately only cash payment possible, even if the bill is high.

We've been there with some Greek friends, and we all enjoyed it. Truth to be said, it is quite noisy and chaotic, so do not go there for a romantic dinner. Pay attention that dishes are BIG, so you might consider ordering a bit less, to start with.

Authentic Greek restaurant with wonderful service and atmosphere. We were recommended by several friends to try this Taverna. The waiters were very efficient and friendly and the food wonderfully fresh and tasty. Not expensive and the quality was very good. Highly recommended. Book.

Ousies is a wonderful Greek restaurant and a local favorite judging by the crowds. It's a solid choice for a casual evening out-- well prepared traditional Greek dishes, friendly people, fun atmosphere and really reasonable. We ate here both times we’ve been to Berlin and were very happy both times.

A very friendly place where working your way through the menu is a true pleasure. Just make sure you leave a bit of space for the galaktoboureko at the end. Personally, I rate this place as the best Greek resto in Berlin by a long shot.

We have visited this restaurant as a group on our first night in Berlin, the food and service was lovely. They have a choice of smaller dishes as well as mains , definitely enough to chose from. It also feels very authentic and was packed with locals, so clearly a nice place. it was also affordable so i would definitely... More

Having read the rave reviews on here, and being in Berlin for my birthday, we decided to eat in Ousies, quite a distance from our hotel in Potsdamer Platz. We took a taxi and arrived at this great-looking taverna-very lovingly fitted out to look like a Greek village house, complete with balcony within the restaurant. We ordered taramasalata, garlic bread... More

Our experience has nothing to do with the good reviews found here: too loud, no space (4 at a table good for 2), food very heavy (missing vegetables)... Absolutely full though on Sunday night: must be the result of big portions + reasonable prices.

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
