Visiting the garden restaurant also in the winter time is an attraction for couples and families - do not miss. 'Sunday roast' up to Christmas time is a must. And enjoy the friendlyness and service from the waiters and service people.

If you want fresh, local & authentic German Food, you must visit Prater Garten. It's the oldest Biergarten in Berlin and the food is absolutely delicious - and SO fresh. Try the seasonal special (I had the Venison & the Pumpkin Seed salad - unreal!) & top it off with a Berliner Weiss. Great intro to German fare.

We had great service, great German food and did like the atmosphere. We were there in winter so it was closed outside but inside is a plenty of space. The kids were happy about theyr snitzel, we about our venison and the salat was very good. Would go there again.

A friend recommended the place for its good quality typical local food. He was right - everything was good. My only reservation - prices are a bit steep for this kind of meal.

We went there for dinner on Friday night in October so we appreciate the warm and spacious inside room. The food was very good and the service was nice with very friendly staff. I would recommend booking it online if you plan to visit on the weekend when the garden itself is already closed, we saw several people leaving because... More

We stopped at the Prater Garten for a quick lunch during a Cold War walking tour of Berlin in mid-September... it wasn't crowded at the time and we ate at tables under the trees... you order your food (very reasonable light German fare) at the kiosk in the biergarten, and your drinks (beer, soft drinks, etc.) at a window in... We really enjoyed our meal. The food and beer was excellent and the service was friendly and patient with our many questions about the German menu items. Definitely recommend for some traditional German food and drink!

I have been there with my friends and family and 3 year old baby. Nice atmosphere in the open. Sausages and beer were great. I liked it because Berlin doesn't have many places like that and it is family friendly compared to the rest of the European beer gartens. Only minor drawback is toillet charging, but whole Berlin does it... More

Nice place to sit outside and have a beer. They brew their own pilsner and it is quite a good one. There are a range if other beers on offer. Food is served from a food counter such as pretzels and hot dogs. There is a proper sit down retaurant as part of the garden but I did not dine... More
