Located just opposite the train station, the public toilets turned burger stop was cosy, different and perhaps a little hipster ;) burgers under €5 were delicious and they had the best chips I have ever eaten! Filling meal about five minutes waiting time at lunch on a weekday. Would definitely recommend! Standing room only inside

Pretty sure this is the best burger I have ever eaten! Only in Berlin for 4 days but we will be back! So juicy and packed with flavour.. I'm almost glad we don't have this at home as I would be the size of a house in no time!

We had such a wonderful trip to Berlin the other month and we were reliably informed by our friends who had been over recently that this was a must, and they were not wrong. Truly magnificent burger, would walk to Berlin from Cambridgeshire without shoes for another.

Really great burger and beer - standing only, but great for an informal chat. Great burgers, chilli is properly spicy and warming. They do a 'healthy burger' (lettuce instead of bread) if you ask for it and speak good English. Great value!

Worth a wait. Had to wait for a while but didnt matter. Also the price range is very affortable compared to five guys/shake shack etc.

So I think it was my own fault for not reading the reviews properly but I was at least expecting a few chairs and tables to enjoy my burger at this trendy revamped public toilet cum burger joint but it literally is just a very small kiosk with an area to stand and wait and/or stand and eat your burger.... We went here for lunch after a number of recommendations. Easy to find & we didn't have too long to wait on our food. Burgers were great & we enjoyed a side of chips alongside them. Really cool venue for a restaurant, although be prepared for standing around a bit cramped eating your food. Well worth a visit!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
