Perfect stop during your hike, Sunday stroll on Elbe river. Located in Hirschpark (they actually have deer) is this really cosy hidden restaurant. Try the fine tea selection and if not up for the sweet cakes try the BROT platter. Cosy from inside. If you are in bigger groups you may want to place a reservation as it will be... More

We went to a wedding here so I am not sure what the regular restaurant is like but the service, food, atmosphere and the surroundings were all excellent for a small wedding. If we had the time, we would have tried the restaurant on its own.

we attended a wedding reception here in Hamburg. I was very impressed with how the place handled 100 guests with a world class meal. Everything was perfect. The location is cool in a park in a neat old high rent part of Hamburg. We very much enjoyed the ambiance and the service as well as the food.

Small, local restaurant located within a wonderfully picturesque park. Great for reasonably priced dinners and also for their weekend brunches. I highly recommend spending a Sunday morning there grazing over the buffet brunch and then wander through the Hirshpark and down to the Elbe!

The Witthus (White House) is a charming old building hidden in the Hirschpark in Blankenese and it's ideal for all occasions from. Dogs are also allowed. We enjoyed a family celebration in the afternoon with coffee/tea, cakes and champagne. The choice of cakes was not extensive but everyone seemed to enjoy theirs. Unfortunately, they could not offer anything for vegans,... More

We found Witthüs by chance in the lovely green Hirschpark in the Blankanese suburb after a stiff night out with friends. Late on a Sunday morning we found they did brunch - perfect. It is delightfully old-world, a charming cafe/restaurant in a thatched cottage and welcomed both casual visitors like ourselves as well as large family parties. The brunch buffet... More

Apparently taking afternoon tea at the Witthus used to be something of an institution. It mirrors 'Old Germany' - very gentile, unrushed but organised - and has lovely quality teas, sandwiches and cakes. You can't order an 'afternoon tea' in the sense of a 'package'; rather, you order items separately. The food seemed similarly priced to other establishments, but the... More
