One of the very few actual places along the Main. Great place during some warm summer days with beer and lemonades.

Stopped off for reviving beers during an afternoon stroll along the south bank of the Main. Great spot with outside tables.

This café is a great place, where you can have the classics drinks (wine, beer, softs,...). Prefer sunny days to enjoy fully the place, and get a transat to appreciate the view and the calm of the place.

What a totally fantastic spot to grab a beer and enjoy the beautiful weather along the riverfront with lots of other like-minded locals. Totally cheap. Totally casual. Totally Frankfurt chill.

I love to spend summer afterwork evenings at Main Cafe. You can sit on the grass or take a chair (free, 10 euro deposit) and enjoy the sun until the very last second. Most people would drink beer or Apfelwein, but they also have some analcoholic options. They have little snacks to accompain drinks (they tend to run out quickly... More

So we were walking along the main checking out the bank holiday flee market and we stumbled on this place. We visited in may with mixed weather for a beer in the short sunshine but if your visiting in the summer then you must stop here grab a deck chair, a beer and get comfy.

One of the very few places on the river and I think that's why it's loved. The atmosphere is unpretentious, prices are OK, there are no waiters - it's self service. Coffee is not particularly good. The view of the skyline is just fantastic.

Cities situated at a river have a special fascination. Main cafe is probably one of the best locations for a coffee or a glass of wine at the late afternoon. It offers an unpretentious atmosphere i.e. come as you are. In summer, the grass at river Main are jam-packed.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this place open on a Sunday in February. It is an excellent place to have a coffee or beer but really comes into its own when the sun is out. The staff are great and you can watch the world go by, or stop to have a beer in a really friendly atmosphere. Great... More
