I would strongly recomend reserving a table, even midweek it is very busy and popular with locals and tourists alike. Salzkammer serves a fantastic selection of traditional German and Austrian food, the service is very quick and the portions huge. If you can sit at the bar for some fantastic conversation with the staff, an ideal opportunity to brush up... More

We didn't have a reservation, but they gave us a table as long as we agreed to be done in an hour. Great schnitzel! Very tender, light and crispy breading. Spaetzle with cheese and onions was tasty and very filling. My husband had the veal cheek goulash and loved it. My son had the SALZKAMMER'S BAUERNPFAND'L and enjoyed it, although... More

This place is ALWAYS full of people. Unless you spontaneously go for a lunch at a non-standard time, say 3.30pm, you better book in advance. The popularity is justified as the food is plain awesome. Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarren, best Austrian fare in Frankfurt for sure. Big portions, cosy feeling/decoration and good service. Also a good selection of typical Austrian shots... More

The food is simply amazing. Although the menu is not long I choose something without thinking too much and I definitely made the right decision. Great flavor, great service and good beer. I can't ask for anymore. I am looking forward to come back and try other dishes

Very good location in the city. It is a cozy restaurant with good Austrian food. Both the Schnitzel as well as the Kaiserschmarren are very good. The restaurant is not very expensive, it is a good option for lunch or dinner.

We went for lunch without reservations and managed to get a good table served by very friendly owner. Tried the Cordon Bleu and the Bauernpfand and ended with the Applestruedel....of course. Both mains were really good, really balanced and done tasting. The strudel is definitely one of the best that we've had both in Germany and Vienna. I would actually... More

it can get busy and you will get a crappy table if you do niot book or if you do not know the owner or maitre. Food was good, no complaints, restaurant looks like a Austrian Ski chalet/Huette. its a bit fake in a Frankfurt but nice to go there as ambiente matches food etc.

Not a fancy restaurant but it's got a decent selection of German specialties. It is very well located near Main Tower and few blocks from the river sidewalk. Courteous service, good food and nice beer for a energy reload after a walk along Main River

We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor. I wanted some good authentic German food, and we were not disappointed. The Veinerschnitzel was tender and tasty, not greasy at all. I ordered the Speziel (sorry about the misspelling), and for dessert we split an apple strudel. Portion sizes wee generous. Every bite was fantastic! With tip (no alcohol) we spent 47E. Very... It is a perfectly fine restaurant with fine food. I think the menu was too limited, and I don't like long menus, but some things were missing. I had the cordon bleu which was good but nothing special. Prices were good I believe so maybe I expected too much based on all the good reviews.
