We love this place, never had a bad meal there before. We ordered the duck, which I believe was microwaved or reheated. It was dry and parts of it were too tough to eat. Our granddaughter ordered the lamb, which looked good and she said was good. The side dish with the duck was also disappointing. I do not recommend... More

Rüdesheim seems to be THE place to visit for foreign tourists. Thus, all inns and restaurants seem to do their utmost to meet the expectations - ALAS... However, this former barn (!) is a real alternative. The decoration and (Bulgarian) band are there, BUT the menu is a surprise. The food is local with a lot of taste not to... More

Great kitchen for regional dishes. The owner is focussed on fresh (and regional) ingredients. The food is excellent. Recommendable.

This is a beautiful hotel and restaurant with lovely decor. Attached is a large courtyard, where Victor was entertaining the guest at the piano. We ordered one Rudesheimer coffee made with brandy. They accommodated me with a non-coffee hot toddy with lots of brandy. Both were ample and served in their large signature mugs. The drinks were delicious and would... More

This is my second time to stop here on an Avalon cruise to have a bit of that delicious Rudesheimer coffee. Don't leave town without trying it!

This was an optional stop on our river cruise with AmaWaterways - to have a Rudesheimer coffee. The coffees were prepared tableside - a show in itself - and were so good we bought "kits" with the customary cups and brandy to try to duplicate it after we got home. We also got to witness a German drinking game in... More

We visited the restaurant as an extra excursion on the Viking cruise. We had a great time - eating, dancing, listening to the entertainment, and meeting people. The entertainment was really fun -- maybe a little touristy, but you're in Germany - enjoy it! We would return.

Usually when you go to a restaurant , you try their specialist. Here in this restaurant you have to go just to try the duck. It's amazing experience. You will never forget. Little bit expensive 42 euro/ person and it's served for 2 persons 42X2 , but you have to try

While on a Viking River cruise of the Rhine, we docked in Rudeshiem at 5PM. Walked down a dark deserted path for half a mile to town only to find it virtually closed. Rudesheim is a seasonal destination but I couldn't imagine why Viking would dock here for several hours if the town was shut down but dock they did.... More
