This is a must visit cafe. One of the oldest in Wiesbaden, and the ambience is fabulous! From the little cakes, to the ladies in French maids outfits... it's all very Bavarian. The food is good, but not outstanding. It's the perfect place to bring out of town guests, to show then a bit a Wiesbaden flair!

I've been living for over a year in this area and I was looking for something like this. No other place in this area offers such a diverse range of chocolate cakes. For me is a so far the best confectionery. The prices are reasonable and the ambiance is very cozy but luxurious at the same time. Worth a visit.

As you enter the building there is a counter with a vast array of cakes. The cafe is very traditional with a pleasant ambience and flamboyant decor. We had breakfast and meant to return to sample the cakes, but ran out of time on our holiday unfortunately. The prices were very reasonable and the service was good.

We met friends here for brunch which was both luxurious ( recommend the smoked salmon with champagne) with great service in lovely surroundings that make you think you are in another time. The cakes are absolutely incredible and all our party were vocal about how there choice was the best. Will definitely be back

Unfortunately the cake is nowhere near what I expected. It's full of very old people and anything on the Menu is more or less continuance food. Very disappointing, a good traditional cafe and cakery is missing in wiesbaden

If I have to rate Cafe Maldaner only based on the cakes and torte I will rate as very good but over all barely an average The main reason service. Because it is a very traditional cafe they do certainly have regulars so the place is crowded most times but yesterdays success can be tomorrows failure if care is not... More

Very good food, great variety. Most of the time it's packed. You have to wait for a seat but waiting is worth it.
