We had a bratwurst and a currywurst with two glasses of apple juice. The food was cheaper than plenty of others in the old town and the atmosphere was very decent. The waitress was cheerful and the two guys behind the counter looked to be enjoying themselves too. I'd go again.

Holiday for all senses. First stop after airport - without any thinking :). Simple enough but perfect. Pork Knuckle is a killer and it changes the game. Highly recommended for all travelers.

We travelled to Dusseldorf to visit the Christmas markets and enjoy a short break. Whilst we were there, we decided to try Schweine Janes for lunch as an authentic local restaurant. It was very busy when we arrived and as a party of 8 , it was going to be a challenge to find a table. I speak a little... More

If you want simple honest food cooked well then this place is just perfect. Nothing fancy or pretentious. Limited choice, small beer selection but who cares? Delicious pork knuckle, fried potatoes and a salad for 12.50 euros. Just found my go to place when visiting Düsseldorf.

Roasted Pork Knuckle with crackling is 10/10. Huge portion, includes sides for only 12.50. Beer is fairly priced, service is friendly and fun. Crowd rowdy but all happy and welcoming. Wait for us not as long for as some had.....seated in ten minutes. Skip the schnitzels though, not their strong suit.

Restaurant is located in the center of the city. Small, cozy and very casual restaurant where locals go and dine. Must try the pork knuckle, house specialty.

I had a dinner at this small place in Duesseldorf old town. While suggesting you to book in advance to avoid long time queing I've to say the food was good and once seated you don't have too long to wait to get your meal. Traditional German food is served in a cheap and informal environment. Pretty famous among the... More

We had a late meal here on our last night in Germany in what was a really enjoyable long weekend. Only looks like a cafe from the outside, looks can be deceiving it goes back a fair way inside. Three of us all went the whole hog with pig knuckles and one with pork loin fillets. All were superb tender... More

Food tastes ok, good portions, but smelly and not very clean. The place is crowded and lost in time. They need to get it cleaner inside in future.
