The reviews on this place vary wildly. You can see four spits turning with dozens of pork legs from the street and smell the schweinshaxe (pork knuckle). Some waiters speak english, some don't, but you can ask for a menu in English - they have plenty. The Schweinshaxe is huge, crispy and moist - but needs a sharp knife. you... More

If you want to see how busy a man can be with the thing they love, you need to step inside. Janes serves the best crispy pork bites with bread in the galaxy. Absurdly easy, outstandingly good. The best place in this category of street-food.

Ventured here due to the rave reviews on TripAdvisor. However found the food to be mediocre. Casual dining place, geared towards the tourists. I ordered the steak with pepper sauce with French fries. It was OK, but really nothing special. Waitress asked whether I wanted mayonnaise or ketchup with my chips. I said mayonnaise. I decided I wanted tomato sauce... More

See above. ;-) This place must move 30 Pig Shanks an hour, during peak dinner service. Curry Wurst was nice as well. And make sure to order an Alt or two. It's a dive, but a Michelin Star deserving dive.

Not sure what the other reviews are on about - this was a decent meal, but certainly nothing that aligns with five stars. Pork leg was alright, but nothing special. Schnitzel was also better, but not amazing. Not that cheap either. Eh. Full of tourists and no Germans which I find interesting.

Place was full and I had to take a small table to try the pork's knee (dish of the house). Some waitress were kind, while others were not so polite as well. The dish came fast, but the bill took an eternity to arrive to our table. Beer was good and I also recommend a dish with red meat filet... More

Lovely place serving traditional German food such as pork knuckles with sauerkraut, sausages, etc. Ideal for a quick meal after walking in the old town

Öh wow. This place is very reasonably priced. I have been to many place that cost a lot more and still as good as this one. Pork nickel is a must order item. They deserved their rating here. Highly recommend.

My wife and I dropped in after a few beers and upon seeing the legs on spit. Staff where great gave us an English menu the service was swift and most important the pork juicy and with crackle. It's very well priced and we left very happy

Quick and very friendly service. I ordered the Schweinhaxe and the meat is really juicy and tasty. Even the sauerkraut and mash potatoes that come with it are really tasty as well.
