We shared a dinner and salad after spending a busy day in Koblenz and St.Goar. The enjoyed the schnitzel a Weiner Art. The service was prompt and the food delicious!

My friend suggested we try this place which she was informed is very nice. We went in and was greeted by a friendly server. She explained the menu to us as well as giving us suggestions on food to order. We had escargot for a starter. Then for mains we chose to share the jäger art schnitzel and the octopus... More

Had dinner last night with a group of friends, excellent food, always freshly acquired that day and in season produce. Meal was excellent, value for money, and friendly staff who couldnt do enough to make the night great. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting Mainz and wanting great food.

I passed by the place on a bicycle ride and the giant tree in the patio area caught my attention. Green and blooming in the spring time it really sets the tone. The entire outside section to include the balcony are coverd by the tree. It's traditional German food cooked to order. They have a nice selection of seasonal wines... More

Been in the Golstein restaurant last week for dinner - first time. As it is early in the year the outside terrace was not open. Inside I found a small and cozy place, nicely decorated. Had a soup and a Cesar salad with chicken breast and cheese - both very tasty and well served. A friend that I was there... More

I went here regularly with my guests to show them nice German food. It's not the cheapest restaurant in Mainz, but not exorbitant. The food is high quality and traditional.

After discovering that the restaurant our hotel recommended for quint-essential German was closed (day after Christmas), we decided to try this after walking around the area. It turned out very well. The schnitzels were good and portions were more than we could consume. My vegetarian wife had house salad with grilled goat cheese and was also well satisfied. Service was... More

Lovely garden to dine in with heaters for chilly evenings. Delicious reasonably priced food. Friendly and attentive staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant in Mainz. The Spagle soup was delicious too :-)
