Horrible. First and LAST time eating there, world first class worst mexican restaurant ever. My family and i will NEVER come back again. Do not recommend to anyone except if you want to throw up. Look at the picture, it looks like someone all ready...did vomit in my plate.More

The sign outside claims 'Authentic' mexican , but this restaurant serves poor quality canteen grade food at a high price given the poor ingredients. I did not enjoy my very tasteless and basic chilli , which my 10yr old child could easily better. My buritos...featured the same use of a base mince mix , whilst smothered in a bright orange analogue cheese, along side a slime of grey refried bean mess. There was No sense of any care taken to add seasoning let alone attention to taste. Thats a kitchean that does not care. The house salad was a wash of white watery split dressing on a mound of tastless iceberg vague lettuce and CELERY. since when does this european/asian native ever find its way to mexico. The room was souless with little to show if any country was its theme, and a bit stifling hot but when asked to turn on the 2 large ceiling fans , the staff member had to go ask the manager , who then reported that the fans were broken. Given the cobwebs, we felt the fans were broken some time back , and the management did not care & did not care for their customers comfort. We ate, we paid ,we left. There was no engagement , and a distinct feeling of get them in , feed them ,and get them out .More

Had Dinner with a party of 4 on Friday 27 June 2021. The restaurant advertises itself as authentic Mexican food and it can not be further from authentic. I am Mexican. The salsa, which is basic to all Mexican food was from a bottle. They...serve the same salsa with everything and name it Salsa, salsa picante y salsa de Pico de Gallo. The difference between their presentation was that the salsa picante had extra chili pieces, and the Pico de Gallo had 4 pieces of corn/mais on top. When I complained, they said that is all they had. The Flautas, Chimichanga, and Fajitas burrito that we ordered were barely tolerable. Nobody finished their plate. To top it off it was super expensive, Definitely NOT worth it. We paid over 100Euros for a meal that would have been 100% better at Taco Bell (the fast Mexican food chain which is comparable to McDonald's).More

This restaurant was really busy and we were lucky to get a table on the Saturday night when we were in Saarbrucken. We booked online via the restaurant website and got an email confirmation almost immediately. Service was quick and we were grateful for the...staff speaking English with us. The food was delicious and our group of 6 were all really satisfied. Portions were large and our meals averaged about 16 euro, which we thought was very reasonable. The kids menu was around 7 euro. The restaurant is next door to the Ibis Saarbrucken Centre hotel - so very convenient if you're staying there.More

Good food, average price, noisy restaurant, good atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent service. We visited this place 3 times because it was very close to our hotel.

The food was ok, nothing special. Reasonable price, however, waiting for 1 hour for main courses is not ok, had to ask the staff for a few times. No apology,no explanation. Disappointed with the service.

OK, maybe in Mexico City this place wouldn't get a look in but here it does fine. We were staying in the Ibis Hotel literally next door and sampled chicken fahitas for two and herself had a tiramisu for afters. The service, the speed of...service, the price and most importantly the food itself were all top notch.More

I can't believe all of the good reviews this place has. While the service was friendly and fast, the food was not great. The chips and salsa that we ordered had stale chips and the salsa tasted like Italian marinara sauce. The guacamole was a...strange consistency--pureed like baby food and had no flavor. There could not have been any cilantro or jalepeno in it. Nothing tasted home made. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and were served frozen strawberry margaritas (???) that did not at all taste like there was any tequila in them. We all ordered fajitas and they also had a strange flavor and the meat was tough--not marinated. I realize that we have amazing Mexican and Tex-Mex in the south-west US and Saarbrucken is a little far away to expect much but I won't be back. Still on the search for decent Mexican in Europe.....More

I don't usually like Mexican food, but this place was right under our hotel (Ibis Saarbrucken City Centre) and served us well. The Chilli con Carne and Fajita's were very good indeed. Be aware - the portions are huge!

When you love Mexican food, traditionally prepared, and you're in Saarbrücken, el Sombrero is a must. With everything Mexican on the menu you can think of, including beer, a wide variety of Tequila and Mezcal, this place has the best Mexican food I ever had...in Germany. Courses are rather big, prices very fair, and on the all you can eat days, you'l have as much of the great ribs and wings as you want. And you will want A LOT! Big restaurant, also for big groups, but I would recommend taking a reservation since its always busy.More

This Mexican restaurant is conveniently located below the Ibis City West hotel, our regular stopover in Saarbrücken, a ten-minute walk from the Old Town. As on our last visit we were lucky to be able to book a table for the second sitting, as the...place was packed with mainly young diners enjoying themselves. After they had left the decibel level dropped considerably and we had a superb meal of fajitas with a sizzler of king prawns, peppers and onions, with salad, hot tomato sauce and guacamole. The dish is a DIY job of wrapping these in the fajitas and was really delicious. Corona beer was on offer, as was the local Karlsberg, but we settled on a good bottle of white wine. Service was provided by a very active team of waiters who made us feel very welcome. A total bill of £36 was very reasonable for a good quality meal.More

My friends and I have been to this place for quite a few times. We are always treated nicely. You can get all the typical Mexican food here, burritos, enchiladas, etc. Among them, fajita is my favorite. There are also various grill options including the...pork ribs. The location is slightly out of the town, but reachable via buses, and is quite convenient for people staying at the ibis hotel.More

After a long journey we just wanted a quick a meal before bed. Sombrero is next door to the Ibis where we were staying. It was a busy Friday night but got a table for 2 without booking. The staff were very welcoming and a...couple spoke English. There were 2 veggie options, the giant burrito packed with loads of veggies, mexican beans, crunchy salad and spinkled with grated cheddar, hit the spot! Not bad for €13.50. My husband had a kleine of bbq baby ribs which comprised of 3 racks with salad & chips for €14.50! Washed down with a couple of Mexicali beers made for a great end to the day!More
