My wife and I had dinner at Bean and Beluga on a Friday night in June. Service was attentive and precise. We both ordered a 6 course tasting menu, and they kindly accommodated an requests regarding food dislikes. Food was excellent. The sommelier was beyond excellent, and provided us with interesting and unique wines from Germany and Austria throughout our... More

It is not obvious to find high-level contemporary cuisine in the leafy outskirts of Dresden. But it is worth it to take the tramway or a taxi to the neigbourhood called "Weisser Hirsch" (white stag). Chef Hermann proposes two menus: one vegetarian, one conventional. If conventional is applicable here. Food was excellent, the wine pairing accordingly. Service very friendly and... More

The first surprise is the menu: simplistic to the utmost. The homepage (http://www.bean-and-beluga.de/bean-and-beluga/Restaurant.html) gives you an idea of what you will not see, a description of what you'll get only a vague idea of the ingredients. The second surprise is when you look at the prices, not that high for so many points in the Gault et Millau. I expected... More

First 4 dishes were good then the last one was seemed to be left over pieces of meat. My colleague had just gotten the same dish with normal presentation and slices . Apparently the Chef was even told his own service staff that this was not acceptable but he decided to get it served anyway. I asked to speak to... More

Awesome Dinner at one out of two Michelin Starred Restaurants - I got a fantastic 7 Course Gourmet Menu at this venue. Every little thing they did that nite was awesome. Plus the treatment for providing a tiny little but pretty stool for handbag was very spoiling. - As we already tried both Starred Restaurant in Dresden, I gotta say... More

The food is excellent for the category of the restaurant. The service is very accurate, professional and nice; the atmosphere also warm and the sommelier is competent. It is a very good combination of local cuisine with high level gastronomy, light and very well balanced tastes. Also the wine pairing is very good with wines of the saxony. One remark... More

If you like top end cuisine with a touch of local flavor, this is the place to go. The menu is traditionally structured, 8 courses, incl. the interpretation of the foie gras (you can skip any course you like and there is also a vegetarian menu). Preparation, ingredients, flavors, draw on classic German fare, yet courses are pleasantly light and... More

After having been at Bean and Beluga before and after many times at William which is another one of the sister restaurant we decided for my wife's birthday to take the family to the wine bar. Once again we had a very excellent and tasty meal but with a few less courses than the upstairs Michelin tasting menu. Of course... More
