Traditional German food and maybe the best beer of Germany! Great typical Bavarian atmosphere. Amazing location!

We had dinner here with a larger group. Service was good and accommodating. Food came quickly and was great. Some people had duck and thought it was fantastic, others Schweinehaxen (pork knuckle) and that was great too.

We were shocked to get prompt service during the Christmas markets as we didn't have reservations. Don't know if we were just lucky or what but how thrilled we were with our meal, service, and the ambience of this restaurant. We sat at a long table with other guests in the 'cellar' area and looked at what the other diners... More

It has a good part of the required look and some dishes might be good (the pork knuckle ) but avoid the half roasted duck at all cost. Service is what it is.

Despite being by the famous Frauenkirche, we found this restaurant to be friendly and reasonable in price. The food was excellent and the beer cold and delicious.

We choose Augustines because we stayed in the QF Hotel, which is basically next to it. We hoped for a traditional german/dresden food we got it - amazing wiener schnitzel: soft inside and crunchy outside, fresh salad and huge baked potato with a lot of sour cream (maybe even too much). But the real treat was a bear straight from... More

As long as we´re in time by time we enjoyed different food and drinks. Try the "Schnitt" as long as it is so fresh. Love the food. Sometimes tooooo loud to chat, but otherwise all fine!

Had booked online beforehand and got a warm welcome from the staff who were excellent (even went along with my poor German). Good traditional German food and an authentic atmosphere. Beer was excellent.

It was a great experience, actually it was a lot nicer then the Munich Augustiner, because it was less crowded, and they had all the types of beer from the menu. The weissbier is one of the best I have tried. We were a group of 7 friends and we had a lot of fun here, and I have also... More

At home in Saxony! Loveably Saxon & Typically Bavarian Under this motto we welcome you daily from 10 am in one of the reconstructed baroque town houses on Neumarkt square in Dresden. Augustiner an der Frauenkirche has space over its three storeys in various lounges that can also be rented out separately. In addition there is room in the outdoor area, an open invitation to experience the pulsating life of one of Europe's most unique cities with a direct view of the Frauenkirche church. Friends of our Augustiner beer can choose between five different beer types, all of which are dispensed fresh from the barrel apart from the wheat beer which is bottled. Accompanying your beer you can enjoy the corresponding seasonally selected Bavarian/Saxon cuisine.
