I was in town on business and a co-worker took me here for dinner. It is like walking back in time as everything is set up as a middle ages restaurant. The menu is pretty extensive. I had sausages that were very good. I heartily recommend coming here if you are in town.

Well this was an experience! Very middle aged themed - waitresses and waiters all dressed accordingly and a live band playing tunes from the middle ages! I loved it. It was such good fun with everyone sitting on very long benches and joining in. Now the food i have to admit was disappointing - as a vegetarian i went for... More

The atmospheare was great. The waiters and waitresses had cool uniforms. The way they served dishes was also spectacular. The food was delicious. However, there was very little space between the tables in the lower dining room (designed as a dungeon) which could make "traffic" between customers and waiters difficult.

If you want to get an insight of how the medieval knights came together for their meals this is the place to be. The waiters are dressed in traditional medieval clothes & speech and the furniture resembles this as well without being to touristy or kitschy. We have been there quite a few times with different visitors and everyone enjoyed... More

Had a meal here not realising it was a medieval style restaurant. The food was good although the servings enormous.

Had dinner here with a colleague during a business trip to Erfurt. As I am from England, my colleague felt we should go for some traditional food of the area and when we came across this place it looked good and menu sounded yummy. The parchment rolls as a menu are a nice touch as are staff in traditional costume.... More

No matter what you order here, a starter or a main course - a huge pile of food will arrive at the table. The owners may think that this is a way to win the customers and keep them pleased, but there is no way that a side of 0,5 liter bucket worth of mashed potatoes or a dumpling of... More

We were ultimately happy that we ate here. Because we didn't have a reservation, we were seated in the cellar room, which proved to be very warm (month of July). They do now have their menu in English. Our waiter spoke adequate English and was very helpful and friendly. We ordered their "Hausbier" which we found to be very smooth.... More

We didn’t have reservations on a Saturday evening and thus had to take the last table outside on the street, which considering the pleasant weather was a welcome alternative to the sticky atmosphere inside. Of course by being outside we missed part of the medieval trappings as the main attractions. Our friendly server was dressed the part and the parchment... More
