We came quite early for dinner, only one table was occupied. Were warmly seated, offered menu, but then staff "dissapeared" and did not look after us. It took quite long time, we could order drinks, food. The food arrived 30-40min after we ordered and the restauramt was empt. I cannot imaging how long you need to wait if the restaurant... More

This restaurant has tables with white tablecloths. The walls are decorated with small photos of posters of the Malaga Fair. On one side is a glass enclosed room showing all the wines that are served in the restaurant. The entrecot and the pulpo are quite good. Prices are moderate. Service is very good.

a nice place but a bad kitchen. the chuleton is one of the worst ever eaten in spain. the meat was quite dry and though and not even tasty. the tartare is quite nice. the octopus was bad quite a lot. Prices are not that low. I wouldn't recommend this place.

...spend 31/12/2014 there, what a disaster! we arrived at 21:15 and at 23:45 we still where only served with the first course, unacceptable! On top of this, they charged upfront 70€ per person , with no chance to claim anything! they conned us big time. ...go to any other place if you don't want to have a horrible experience!

The food is alright but you have to put up with waiters that like to ignore you. We've never experienced such nonchalance before, especially not in Malaga. When we pointed out that we had been ignored and forgotten from the moment we entered the restaurant we didn't get any excuse or compensation, instead we got ironic remarks. There are so... More

This is about the most unfriendly and unhelpful restaurant I have visited for a long time. I would not recommend any one else to try it. The menu is stylish bistro but the arrogance and disinterest of the staff has to be experienced to be believed. I was looking for a special place for lunch with a good friend, you... More

Got to the restaurant and asked the first waiter I saw if there was a table available. After being ignored I entered the restaurant and asked some looking more senior, and I got my table. Initially good service with recommendations about wine and food. Foie was lovely and pig cheeks was fine. Then I asked if it would be possible... More

It's amazing how many places in malaga seem to spend all teir money on making the place the good and not following through with the service and food. The waiter that served us might have just been having a bad day, but that's no excuse. His manners and style were better suited to a cafe rather than a restaurant. Not... More

Description
Welcome to Restaurant ALEA, gastronomic reference Malaga, located in a historic area of outstanding beauty on the emblematic Calle Larios area.Among ancient walls that formed part of the walls of Muslim Málaga, ALEA stands. Walls that back in the eighth century witnessed the splendor and prosperity Malacitana brought by the various peoples and cultures that settled here. City was rich in shops, merchants and crafts that years later would name to much of its historic neighboring streets. Such is the case of Furnace Street, parallel to this, which owes its name to the existence in the past of a bakery. Commonly used as a mill in the eighteenth century, it housed several waterwheels to grind flour for making bread. Can still be seen the erosion of the wagon wheel at the base of the marble pillar restaurant and a "snack" that made therein to rotate. In the late nineteenth century the place becomes a noodle factory upstairs allocating a drying and storage and low for sale.In the reform carried out in 2009 by renowned architect Jose Ramon Fauras kept details of the structure seen S.XVIII (wooden beams, original walls, marble columns, large windows ...) while stationed to implement the space with splashes of color and art notes using also green materials and the latest technology.
