This was one of the best finds during our visit to Malaga, such a refreshing change to all the touristy restaurants that are around. The place is very classy in a lovely old building. We ate from the tapas menu and they were really good and tasty..i think they called them Pinchos on the menu...Service was also excellent and friendly....If... More

We were recommended this bar by reception staff of the hotel Vincci Seleccion Posada del Patio. They mentioned that the tapas offered were different and worth the experience. This was true. We tried a selection of small dishes, and they were all very tasty. Would definitely return to try other tapas on their menu.

The only positive thing I can say is that the gazpacho was good. The smoke salmon "pinchos" were not fresh and I believe they could have been in the fridge from the previous day The stir fry with "prey" was very bland with something in it with the texture of onion skins.Service was ok but nothing more. This appears to... More

Enjoyed our return visit. The food is varied and always good value. Popular with locals which indicates the authenticity of the food. Worth a try.

We loved our meal here! Great selection of tapas, both traditional and with a twist, plus a larger menu with salads and mains that all looked wonderful. We had a big goat cheese salad (very fresh) the tortilla of the day, olives, and a shrimp / tomato tapa that was the daily special (delicious!) Everything was wonderful, and gin and... More

Food was good, terrace is nice, but for the price tag definitely the service must improve. We get used to this in Spain, but we shouldn't.

We have been eating out in Malaga for several days now, and have found several of our choices disappointing. There is always a risk in a city with a steady flow of tourists that restaurants become complacent and let standards of food and service slide. La Barra is in an area near the cathedral which is pretty packed with restaurants,... More

Service could have been so much better and I had to ask 3 times for simple items such as salt and ketchup. All should have been resolved the first time I asked. We both got sirloin steaks and asked for a portion of French fries to share with it and they were never delivered. Asked for them again and gave... More

Cerverceria - Bistrot La Barra is a unique and cosmopolitan space located in the heart of the capital. A place to meet friends and enjoy one of the best runs of reeds city and a selection of tapas that combine the best of tradition with sophisticated cuisine. Here you can enjoy meals without hours from where the palate is what dictates the time to short breaks , all marked by exquisite preparation and originality. The bar takes its name precisely the impressive carved wooden bar that overlooks the entrance to the premises , a tribute to the Spanish hospitality culture. Cerverceria - Bistrot La Barra reaffirms the urban essence with a menu designed to enjoy small pleasures . We note , of course, his letter of PINCHOS . Amazing Steak tartare ox, Mini chicken kebab with sesame sauce and peppermint, Iberian pork skewer with chimichurri or Sardina vinegar with avocado and tomato. And his craft is famous potato salad . To share moments , stories and some laughs La Barra proposes an assortment of snack dishes among which are the risotto Mushrooms, Parmesan and Duck Ham , fried eggs with Chanquetes de la Huerta and Bellota ham , the frying sea Squid and Ortiguitas or candied artichokes with crispy bacon and garlic shoots . And for good measure dish like nobody brings you the best of sea and mountains . SEA propose the Fillet of Cod with Tomato Vegetable Ratatouille or stuffed squid with sweet onion sauce and almonds in portions or half portions. MOUNTAIN I love the beef burger or sandwich Roast Beef and Veal tenderloin classic or Entrecote de Buey . From the land you can try the chops Suckling Goat Malagueno . The home features a large deck to enjoy any time of the day because your schedule is continued from morning to night. They have the ability to make group menus for any celebration or meeting friends. Its location next to the Cathedral and near the central Calle Larios lets you enjoy all the charm of the center of the capital.
