We decided to try this place on spec as it looked nice, tucked away just off the busy Plaza de Siglo. Once seated I was concerned to see the waiters out touting for customers: in my experience not usually a good sign. Food was ok, salad dishes were simple but nice enough. I had red hake, salad and "home made... More

When walking through the cozy streets of Malaga we were approached by a very friendly woman in traditional clothes offering the menu of a typical Spanish restaurant nearby. We let tempt us and decided to eat at the place. The menu contained a large variety of different local low-prized dishes. We opted for a the dish “Tomate picado” containing tomatoes,... More

Tasty tapas, tucked away off the side of a plaza. We picked this place mostly on the basis that it didn't have or need a host touting it to passerby. Very happy with our choice, great food and great value.

If in Malaga you can't go too far wrong if stop at La Taberna Gallega for a bite to eat and a cool drink. The staff are helpful and friendly and the food is good. Beer is very cold and Sangria is light and refreshing. Very enjoyable.

The best food we had till now is Spain. Small restaurant with a good service and nice advice on the menu. Went for the grilled calemares and believe me.... Really good

We had lunch, a local dish and gambas. It was very fresh food and very tasty. The service was very good, no pushy rushy waiter, but calm and friendly. The place was clean and so is the sanitary.

Visited again after 18 months and still recommended. Not a large menu which is good. Had grilled pepper salad, rosada a la plancha, croquetas and bravas which were all good. €43 for 2 with wine, water, coffee and bread. Friendly professional service and waiter speaks English if required.

We didn't want masses to eat, so a selection of 5 Tapas for 8 Euro plus a jug of Sangria did the trick. Delicious. Chef's selection made choosing easy!!! The Paella was particularly nice! The bread that came with the Tapas was delicious. In a side street just off the beaten track, excellent. Really friendly too!

If you want great little tapas then this is the place for you! Sit back, relax, watch the world go by and enjoy numerous plates of tapas that don't cost the earth. Tucked away off the main drag (the better ones always are). Enjoy!
