The first visit was in 2015 - we had good paella and nice wine. This year, I took my daughters and they loved it. As they wanted to have paella again before going back to Korea, we went back in a week. Black paella and paella with pork and chorizo, tasty. Some starters such as "boquerones fritas" " gambas al... We walked in the old part of Marbella (which is a gem and a very nice surprise considering the rest of the town) and found the place by accident but sitting there we saw this place had a lot of regulars. I guess it speaks for itself. Our food was also very nice but what we especially appreciated was the... More

Lamb shank is ok. Lamb is fat, but it allways is. Good it was still. Ten points for gluteen free bread ☺.

Dropped in for lunch today to see if the reputation for "best paella in town" was justified. We were not disappointed. Lovely restaurant with good wine selection. The same owner for 32 years and same chef for 24 years. Enjoyed a starter if tuna carpaccio and then the paella mediterraneo. Lovely big juicy prawns, clans, mussels. Excellent. Maybe a little... My husband and I popped in for dinner at this cozy restaurant in the Old Quarter of Marbella on an unusually cold and rainy night and were warmly greeted by the most congenial owner, who speaks English well. Both of us were extremely impressed by the service but even more so by the food. I am a former caterer and... More

My family and I went to this restaurant on Three Kings Day hoping to get a table without a reservation. We were warmly greeted and treated like Kings indeed! I had a seafood dish with monkfish and my husband had sole...both dishes were so tasty! The broth in the seafood dish was seasoned perfectly. In fact, we are going back... More

This was absolutely the best local food and wine we have been served in Marbella so far. We felt vey welcome and the dishes were interesting and price very reasonable. Highly recommendable if you wish to visit The Old Town in Marbella

Hard to add anything to our previous reviews - Juan is still at the top of his game when it comes to a wholesome perfect traditional paella. Plenty of options available including chorizo & ribs and squid & mushroom (not your normal mushroom - these had a really intense flavour). Other non-rice based courses for those not keen on paella.... More

We have dined at El Cortijo numerous times now (sometimes more than once during a holiday) and have never left disappointed. The food and service are excellent, the wine is delicious, and the ambience is just perfect. This is by far our favourite restaurant in the Old Town and we will definitely return again this Christmas! Looking forward to it... More
