I just read the last review and I'm gobsmacked, I wonder if they went to the same place? We ordered the warm platter, actually the 5 of us ordered 2 platters and the waiter saved us from ourselves by suggesting one would suffice and boy...More

Thank God, I've had the opportunity of traveling to many places. I am currently on a road trip in Spain and went to Granada. I went to this place because it was one of the few that was open around my hotel. I am not...More

We were not sure how a tapas bar worked, but Bodegas Castaneda was recommended by the desk agent at out Eurostar Gran Via hotel. It was a little chilly that evening so we opted for an inside table. No tables were readily available but the...More

We called in and liked the vibrant atmosphere but could not get a table either inside or outside. We returned slightly earlier the next evening and obtained a table outside. The waiter was very quick (too quick) and was pushing the mixed tapas plate which...More

Great food! Always packed though so very hard to get a spot, so be prepared to wait, but still worth it.

A busy tapas bar but simply the rudest staff we have ever experienced. Cannot comment on the food - we walked away.

Went on recommendation of telegraph, lonely planet, hotel and taxi driver. Ordered a plate of inedible variety each more dire, tasteless and poorly presented than the other. Wine was so so and service rubbish. I’ve had far far better elsewhere in Spain and London. Avoid

No you can't just show up early to get a table because there's not many. But the real experience is to eat at the Barra not at the tables!!
