Great ambience, very good food in the oldest bar in Spain. It is a 1630 if I remember correctly bar. It is serving great tapas and the flair is so good there. Go there for breathing a piece of history and to get some great food!

This place is an institution. Staffed by people who really really know what they are doing and the level of service is at their pace, not yours. Here the waiter is king, not the customer. Chalk marks laconically scratched on the counter ensures your place and bill do not move until you depart. Look around and you'll see ancient bottles... More

Had heard about this place but hadn't set out to find it. Yet when we stumbled across it bimbling round the Seville streets we had to give it a go and so glad we did. It was Monday lunchtime but although there were a few in we had no trouble getting a standing table. Couple of glasses of decent Rioja,... More

Frequented by visitors locals and lots of Spanish families and groups, it lives up to its reputation. We went on a Dundat afternoon and although busy, easily found a spot at the bar and our tab soon mounted in chalk on the wooden bar! The spinach and chickpeas was very popular and it was great fun to watch others order... More

This is Seville's oldest bar and about as authentic as it comes. Stand at the bar and sample the delights. It is rustic and simple so expect no thrills but this is an atmospheric bar popular with the locals due to its great value and tasty dishes. A must visit when in Seville.

Purportedly and probably the oldest bar in Seville/Spain, El Rinconcillo is fantastically atmospheric and the more so when its bursting at the seams. It is not to be missed if you are in Seville. Superb range of wines and sherries and of course some beer to wash down the excellent range of authentic tapas. The fried fish is to die for.

This is apparently the oldest tapas bar in Spain. It gets busy, very busy! I booked a table in advance and I'm glad I did. The wine list is great, as is the beer selection. I couldn't make my mind up what to have from the menu so just asked the kitchen to select 5 dishes for me. It was... More

I had lunch here (standing room only) with a Seville local, as my first meal in the city. We enjoyed wine, beer, croquetas, and a revuelto. It's very busy and not big but you can 100% tell you are in an authentic Seville establishment - not something touristy. Be patient, don't expect to sit, and don't expect anything fancy, but... Description
Located on the Calle Gerona, El Rinconcillo has been serving up Spanish cuisine in Seville since 1760. This historic restaurant boasts a rustic-chic dining room that is dressed up in cosmopolitan clothes. With understated whitewashed brick walls, beamed ceilings, chandeliers and fresh flower arrangements, El Rinconcillo attracts everybody from local celebrities to families who come to enjoy traditional tapas and Sunday meals, and the mosaic-tiled bar with wine barrel tables is perfect for pre-dinner drinks and mid-afternoon glasses of wine. The menu is an eclectic collection of tapas dishes, stews, seafood, meat and sweet flans for dessert, and you couldnt find a more quintessentially Spanish eatery in Seville if you tried.
