Yes, it isn't in the greatest part of Bilbao (hence the reason you have to ring the bell to get in), but once you get in it is well worthwhile. Married to a local, I have been on a few occasions and the staff cater well for groups from two to twenty (but definitely book ahead for big groups). Having... More

Very good and delicious paella with a good white local wine. First you have to find it in the areal of the train station.

The location of this restaurant is deceiving, it is near the train station, however when you enter it is a different story.... Very nice place, excellent food and professional service. We started with pawns and asparagus and continued with a seafood paella and a vegetarian paella. By far the best paella that we had in Spain.

We ate here for my birthday after having read the reviews of this restaurant and deciding to give it a try. We left with full bellies and a reservation for the next night as well. Things to consider if eating here: Call to make a dinner time reservation during their lunch hours, as it's a small venue. They don't do... More

Slightly strange way of getting in, with an obscure shuttered storefront, a cracked menu sign, and no signs of life. Ring the bell and get invited in to a large, busy sequence of dining rooms serving up the best paella in town. The salad beforehand was very nice too. Good ingredients cooked well with ample portions. Find it if in... More

Realizing that Paella is a southern Spanish dish I should have known better. Our appetizer was flawless, pero our Paella was...meh. Salty, very little seafood and above all NO socarrat whatsoever. Soupy with an odd mix of broccoli, cauliflower and other non standard Paella fixings. Having prepared multiple Paellas and competing in dozens of Paella cook offs in California I... More

We ordered a entree of foie that was excellent. Then came the paella... Too salty, so we ran out of water. The woman in charge told us that it was not salty, but she did not even try it. So she meant that we were wrong... Not very professional.

We ordered the seafood paella. When we asked if each person can order different dish, the server got really mad. Most of food on the menu are 2 persons minimum dishes. We saw another group came and left right after because of the rude staffs. Food is okay. I have had much better paellas in various places. Price is high... More

Good service, nice paella, good Irish coffee. Out of the center of Bilbao but certainly worth while to visit if you do not want the usual tourist destinations.
