I only visited Ganbara because I had seen the mushroom dish on TV and thought it looked very nice. It was, several types of mushrooms all served with a silky egg yolk. Simple and delicious. I was quite shocked when I paid and realised they were almost 20e. Loved the food, but the price would put me off having it... More

Known for producing the best pinxtos in Donostia (arguably), you won’t want to miss this one. For my umami lovers in the house: the wild mushrooms at Ganbara are worth a trip around the globe. I also couldn’t leave without going for seconds on the cured salmon and onion toasts. We so appreciated the little croissant stuffed with cornichon, jamon... More

Never been in this part of Spain and not having experienced the pintxos before. This was a superb experience. You must have the tuna with ansjovis, the egg with calamaris, croquetas jamon and certainly de plato with different mushrooms. Service was excellent and very friendly.

We had little red shrimp, wild mushroom, croquettes and few more different bite size tapas - great, great food - of course it is not cheap but really tasty, they are seriously well thought about what they put on their little piece of baguette bread - so we love it and we want to come back 😍😍😍

Me and my girlfriend had just enjoyed a day in san sebastian eating and drinking in the sun. We found this place via good food reviews so booked a table. The food was great simple but tasty. Quite expensive. However service was shocking first we were huffed and puffed at for asking for an english menu and everything was nearly... More

We sat down in the downstairs dining room for dinner. It was very quiet but it was nice to have a sit down meal (we had had a long day of pintxos bar hopping). I forget what fish we had but it was delicious and perfectly cooked.

Not value for money. The setas are extremely expensive (over 20 euros). Staff are not very friendly and you can find better and much cheaper spots for great pintxos.

lucky for me a friend reccomended this place to me and we enjoyed it very much. It’s got a classic feel to it with pintxos to die for! I loved the Cava as well as many other excellent wines by the glass. The Langostino’s are soooo good, actually everything was delicious.

Friendly/helpful staff even if your Spanish is limited to v basic greetings etc. - like ours! It was a pleasantly vibrant place at lunchtime so, if anything like similar places nearby, maybe a feeding frenzy at night?...a few other reviews indicated that so we came at lunchtime instead. On day we were there all fairly standard Tapas - maybe night... More

Do not recommend. Went to 10 different places in oldtown. This was the worst, unfriendly place and staff. Go anywhere else and you will be well treated by friendly people. Other places are nice - Good food and service. But this place does not provide neither good food nor service...
